  • Is it me or do we seem to be having a shot at goal every minute or two at the mo'? Keep the faith peeps.

[cite]Posted By: ChicagoAddick[/cite]Oh yes, long socks an' all Weegie.

Oh no, surely not with sandals?

No, heaven forbid. What's my name Riscardo?

    Can't be - you're not 26, are you?

(Apologies everyone else for the inane banter, but need to do something to take my mind off the match!)

    I thought Riscardo was 27...................... ;o)

    C'mon Charlton - I'm working and we're losing - life doesn't get much worse
  • "Charlton looked so confident before City scored and now we are all out of sorts."

    Confidence = Zilch

[cite]Posted By: ChicagoAddick[/cite]Millwall 2 up at Colchester. I don't even want to go there.

we won't as we will be going down and they go up.

    You need a holiday
  • "We're just keeping MCFC up to date ;-) "

    Cheers...lol
  • Nearly 0-2 and just a great tackle in the box by Primus.
  • primus last ditch challenge
  • You might be right there, Vancouver - I've never been v good with ages. I just know he's much younger than he looks :-)
  • We're all over them, then go a goal down very much against the run of play - and now "we are all out of sorts."

    What's that all about?

Any reason why we can't lift our heads and batter Brizzle into submission?
  • Varney shoots 'high, wide and handsome'.

Confidence 'draining out' of Charlton as half wears on.

    Half time.

So how come the boos can be heard in New York, but not in Bermuda? ;-)
  • Am I correct in assuming that what Charlton needs is leaders..both off and on the pitch?

The comments are a bit defatist, no guts, hangs their heads, lack of direction from the manager etc etc...Is it really that bad or just fan hyperbole as usual?
  • [cite]Posted By: Charlie Block[/cite]varney fluffs it again. The muppet.

    44:17
Shot by Luke Varney (Charlton) right-footed from left channel (20 yards),

The "20 yards from an angle" is a clue there isn't it? Give the bloke a break please.
  • I know i cant really comment, but boos all round, surely harsh, BBC website says 11 shots on target.

There's a lack of confidence, which has become a lack of fighting spirit. We have some talented players, but Pardew seems unable to get the best out of them, and we're getting fed up with his inane excuses all the time.
  • I didn't hear any boos tbh.

  • BBC London commentary said there was no booing and i've had a few calls saying we're looking ok but just haven't had the luck in front of goal.
  • If the result stays like this we'll be 19th, only 2 points off relegation!
  • [cite]Posted By: Charlie Block[/cite]we are shite oggy.

With the amount of chances we've created, we sounded far from shite ..... until we gifted Brizzle a lead.
    Then the confidences drains away.

    So it's all about confidence?

How do we know that they are talented?
We only have 5 players who have played above this level and the best achieving are Primus and Holland who are both a bit past it now.
  • Just got a text from the ground - says we were brilliant first 30 mins and should have been 5 or 6 up...if only, eh?

It must be to some extent. Many of those playing tonight were playing against Reading - when they looked fantastic.

I've seen enough of most of them to know that on their day they are talented - ok. not world beaters, but better than current results. The challenge is to build confidence and consistency, and that, for me, is a management issue.
  • We have not picked up any points this season after going behind - tonight would be a good time to change that.

So who can turn things around?

If you had a chance to pick an available manager I mean..
