I find it very frustrating that we don't seem to have a pattern of play. I know we have lost players especially ZZ IMHO who could do something different but we seem to change tack week on week. OK, I'm a big fan of Semedo but he did well in the 2nd half v Ipswich. So he's back on the bench v Cardiff.
4-1-4-1 with Basey holding was getting results away from home even if they were poor to watch by all accounts but now that seems to have been ditched.
We got players in to toughen up the side (Bailey and Hudson) and a bit of nous at the back (Primus) and up front (Toddy) but the other players around them seem to change week on week and with little impact.
Mr Pardew, please pick a side and a system and, barring injuries and suspensions, stick to it for a few months. And get those "Tenacity, Spirit, Flair" posters out the loft and stick them up.
Cranie has said that he is more of a centre half so here's his chance to prove it. Moo2 has something to prove as well and if Shelvey was good enough to start the season then he must be worth a place on the bench. I don't think he's the finished article yet but he's not going to learn about league football in the ressies. Play him here or send him out on loan. And while I think Dickson is having too much expectation heaped on him I think we need an impact forward on the bench so either him or McLeod.

Ermm Nigel I think you're missing the point here...... Palarse fans are known as The Nigels.....not sure you're aware of that or not?"

???? Erm, I think it's you who are missing the point, isn't ? That's what I meant when I said they had no idea in 1954 - i.e. that half a century on the name would have that connotation! A phrase about grandmothers, eggs and teaching comes to mind!!!
