The oldies should think back on the time Alan Simonson signed for us. The press said it couldnt wouldnt happen. It did they + took the piss none stop. I agreed with the majority and thought that it wouldn't make sense for Zabeel to buy W Ham, but I have to say that if I was Zabeel I would buy Everton in preference to Charlton (on the face of it not knowing Everton's financial position).

I am now losing the faith and reckon we're gonna be jilted at the altar.

I'm not sure why you all think that it's definitely made up ? I desperately hope you're all right and I'm not saying they're not made up. I'm saying I don't know and I'm getting concerned :-(

if after the first claim in the press that west ham were now in line, why would top brass at zabeel come out anf flatly deny it and say that they have not been in touch with any other cub and have no intention of doing so.....

so it is a wait and see game and we may get gilted but the reality is is that any club would sell to zabeel any club as long as they werent asking for too much coin.... thay could buy any one and they have decide to go down due dilligence with us.... and are making statements about how great we are....


dont let these journalistic f*&^% put off the fact that we are the ONLY ones with anything concrete....

I went out and bought the Sun (something that I usually wouldn't do) just to read the story.

I find it depressing that a piece of unsubstatiated speculation no more than a few paragraphs long should be given back page headline status.

The longer due dilligence goes on the more these stories will crop up. I hope the takeover gets done and dusted asap.

Unusual that a story about Charlton should reach the back page, perhaps they feel that they need to create more of a story out of this takeover in order to make it interesting.

I prey this is a load of rubbish,all this waiting is doing my head in.
I'm getting paranoid I'm worried that someone that matters will read these stories and think ' oh! perhaps it's not such a good idea as the press don't seem to like Charlton much perhaps they are to small for us. If Everton are available as this story says then lets look at them.
On the other hand I'm hoping Zabeel do the honourable thing and keep to their word.
