Came across as a 'measured', rational and erudite display, Ben, and a good 'image' for CASC, given some of the plonkers who get shoved in front of a camera to speak for their clubs/fans on such occasions.

Fair enough. It's just that I believe you didn't go far enough. I believe that they're all lifelong Charlton fans and the whole Newcastle thing was a smokescreen in order to tempt Murray out and demonstrate their utter devotion to the long term good of the club. Cat/string theory, innit? Anyway he'd have told them to stick their cash if they weren't.
They should have had me on if they'd wanted the truth but security wouldn't let me.

They were interviewing anyone with a pulse. Me, Rothko, Tavern : - )
I heard a rumour that B-Mob actually stands for Bedoiun but I may be wrong ; - )

Do they have fridges in their tents...they do in Sharm LOL
No, I made it all up on orders from Richard Murray or else he would have me shot ; - )
Yes, I believe what I said but as a director of the Club I could only say so much.
In all seriousness: I've had a think about this and I'm not that comfortable with your line. It's quite difficult for me say this because I fundamentally agree with you on most points, football and otherwise. But, the thing is you're not "a director" (unless things have changed) you're the Fans' Director and that role should be to offer something distinct and different in the boardroom. To me, it illustrates the fundamental issue with the role of Fans' Director as it has worked out.
I'd like to have something a bit more challenging like: on paper this looks fantastic for the club. We're all very excited and our board has generally done a great job in representing the interest of the fans, but in the light of the unfortunate experiences of Portsmouth and West Ham, for example, we'd like to look into the background of the group and it's intentions.
I kind of get the feeling that you'd have said exactly the same thing if the offer had been from a consortium of Mike Ashley, Peter Risdale and Rose West.
Just saying that you trust the incumbent to do the right thing, does not cut it for me. Trust, for me, is overrated in business, in my experience. Two things might happen:
1. Faced with lots of dollar signs Murray may allow his judgement to be coloured. Many amongst us would
2. Despite being utterly plausible the group might not actually be the fluffy free-cash machine that we are hoping for. I've seen our board commercially hoodwinked on a few occasions, could this be the big one?
We're in a funny position. A diminishing fan base and a team that has struggled despite reasonable resources, sitting on a plot of real estate that is worth more (in financial terms) than the club. All I am saying here is that there is another side of the story that I'd like someone to be looking into and asking questions about. If you're just give the party line, then they might as well scrap the role and replace it with a press release because, as a fan, I'm no better represented.
When I heard your pronouncement it put me in mind of the last paragraph of Animal Farm (the Orwell version before anyone quips), and that made me sad.
Who, if not you, is there to ask the searching questions?

How is she?
the camera never lies!
;o)
Were you shaking? I'm sure you almost dribbled haha
No but just seen myself on it. TV does put the weight on doesn't it but thought it came over quiet well. "measured" my wife said.
A mate of mine said "dull" but personally I think you did well Henry - apart from the David Blunkett thing going on with your eyes!
Remember you're not talking to anyone. You just have a feed into your ear and a camera.
Cheers, really appreciate that.
Cheers mate. Got some nice feedback from some other people who are "important" within the club so pleased with that as well.
I did 1200 metres in the swimming pool this morning but I need to get down the f****** gym big time : - )
Your line on SSN
