In stature i mean a good young prospect that the fans are excited about and the mgmt at the current times feel is a proper player and one that doesnt come around to often,
Both Pards and Curbs have said similar about both players respectivily.
And the fact that they are both creative excellent ball control with a great shot and centre midfielders
I agree with most of the above. I'm baffled how with our poor scoring rate, Dicko hasn't been given a chance. Why on earth has Toddy jumped above him in the ratings, so he cant even make it onto the bench now.I really dont believe he would score less than Gray. Pards still playing favourites i fear. Jonjo should be getting on for 20 mins here and there to get more experience. I dont advocate loads of chopping and changing, but if the players aren't doing the business, they need to know that someone else will get a chance.
How old was Parker before he went to Norwich he was completely or largely unused in out 1st season in the prem was he 20 before he made the jump to proper regular player?

He was 20, but made his debut at 16, coming up 17.

Todorov is rightly involved with the first team, but I'd like to see Dickson on the bench as well. Both offer something different, Dickson will go out just to try and score, while Todorov is the clever technical player. One of the matches the other day we had Semedo and Basey on the bench, no need for both of them.
the main diference with Parker is the fact we were in the Prem then and we could loan him to the Chumpionship to gain the experience, The leagues below us are not the place to send Jon Jo he is already above that standard but below being the finished article, if we have a season of medicority ahead of us now is the time to bed him

Some of those early stats are incorrect .......... eg, they show him making no League appearances for us in 98/99, but I clearly remember (I think, lol) him coming on as sub in that glorious fightback home to Newcastle in the Prem, wasn't he involved in the equaliser?
All a bit hazy though. Konchesky played that day too.
yeah I think Shelvey has more obvious talent than some of the others and is at a higher standard so possibly no need for loan period yet cos he's only young, he also needs to be nurtured and protected a bit contractually. Parkers was about him getting some games under his belt at a later age when he really needed to be pushing on. Wagstaff is a bit older 18 or 19 and needs to be getting some competitive football I would imagine.
[cite]Posted By: Dazzler21[/cite]what so we dont need 2 midfielder defenders on the bench who are more than adequate in both positions?
I personally think the bench should consist of:
Elliott
Basey
Semedo
Shelvey
Dickson
Why Basey and Semedo? Apart from Basey taking set pieces and playing left midfield, there's no real need for both of them. Seems a bit of a waste to me when we have several strikers and two completely different types of strikers in Dickson and Todorov for example would give us a few options.
I'd like to see Semedo given a run at right back, see if he can make that position his own. He's a good player but just doesn't have a best position at the moment. He can defended better than Cranie and Yassin, if he gets forward like he did against Ipswich, and occasionally has in the past, he should be the best option there.
not at the moment! Todorov has never been a star player for us in my eyes gets greedy and can't bang in the goals. Sam needs to learn to beat players or at least deliver a cross and ZZ isn't zizi any more he's just another player who comes puts in his shift and goes!
[cite]Posted By: Scoham[/cite] Guess its because we have two home games, which he's much more likely to be involved in. Maybe they're thinking Bailey might be out? Also its 3 games in a week, so Pardew will want to rest some players, and have cover if we pick up injuries.
compromise, Shelvey is going after the Cardiff game but will miss the two home games.
Very good I think, should be great experience for him to be involved out there.

Better than 1 in 2 games for ressies and Gillingham. He will never prove it if he never gets a game

That would depend on what your first XI is though surely?
This is true but my first 11 at the moment is:
Weaver
Mout
Huds
Prim
Youg
Boua
Holl
Bail
Ambr
Varn
Gray
Ha ha love that one!

So no place in your squad for Sam, ZZ or Todorov?
IN MY OPINION
Well that's news to me!
Very good I think, should be great experience for him to be involved out there.
