I has been apparent for all of 2008 that Pardew has big problems. 9 wins in the last 34 games is a sad statistic. In fact it is relegation form.
Pardew is a “dead man walking”. He has received the dreaded vote of confidence from the board. He has also lost the majority of the fans, and unless things improve dramatically during the month of October I believe the axe will fall before bonfire night.

Blimey
Didn't really get a vote of confidence did he? The Chairman did say "There is nothing true in the rumours that his job is under threat. Alan is still under contract with the club. Fans are allowed to express their opinions - that's the point of football, so I can understand their views. But there has been no discussion or thoughts about changing managers. Alan Pardew is our manager and he will be for a long time to come yet."
He has lost the majority of fans has he? When did you do that poll?
You believe the axe will fall before Bonfire night. And you base this on what exactly
"are u so blind that you can not seeeeeeeeeeeeee ? " Pardew thinks he is doing ok.
PS Billericy Dickie = Kelvin Macenzie !!
Well going on last night, the minority who previously wanted him out is slowly becoming a majority. And when you're in a sticky patch of form, losing to your local rivals isn't going to help.
And i'd say he's also basing it on 9 wins in 34 games being absolutely pathetic.
Add that to the fact he doesn't seem to be able to motivate the players, failed to get one of the best squads in the division even close to a play off place last season, plays the wrong tactics, makes strange substitutions, comes out with utter sh*t after each and every game, is that enough to be going on with?
Not very good away are we?!!
But you will find it hard to argue with a lot that Chris of Sidcup stated.
To be fair Henry, he said similar about Les Reed before he was very shortly replaced!
No disagreeing with any of the arguments it is the opinions stated as facts and the strange conclusions drawn from them that surprise me.
Still think that a lot of people were in love with Pardew when he came and now he's not done what they hoped are rejecting him like a partner they have fallen out of love with and want to divorce.
I think for some it comes over as more than that, more a feeling of being let down by a friend or lover in whom you have invested some personal emotion rather than just him being a "crap" manager.
Maybe I am wrong but there seemed a lot more passion around Pardew when he joined than with Curbs, Dowie or Reed.
Anyway, the darkest hour is just before the dawn.
Some can be attributed to that......some can be attributed to Kelly Youga's hopelessness
If however you do want our results to improve then support Charlton, support the team, ergo support the manager.
