I dont know if this has been done already (apologies if it has).

OK we all know the squad we now have (jan transfer excepted). Do we think its good enough for:-

A) Automatic Promotion
B) Play-offs
C) Mid-table
D) Relegation

For me its A.

    Looking at it purely on paper it's A for me.

    But my heart says B due to our inconsistency.

    If they play as they can consistently though certainly B and possibly A.

    I'm glad you're not our manager, Len - you'd play a left footed player at right back, or a centre mid on the right wing, or a defender who can't defend but is pretty good going forward ..... ;o)

    If Dicko and ZZ or Racon/Semedo start then A or B, but if we persevere with Holland and Gray then C or D

    I have recently moved from C/D to B/C since the season start, which is something I guess.

    I believe the squad is an A. But the reality will be B i'd imagine. Although fully prepared for C!

    B. I'm worried about our inconsistencies but we've never been consistent anyway. I also believe failure to gain promotion this season wouldn't be the end of the world.

    B - I think we'll iron out the inconsistency in the end and the quality will shine through

    C for me - not enough consistency and won't win enough away games to get into the playoffs, but won't be in trouble at the other end either.

    B, but think we might be challenging for A come the New Year, and am fully prepared for closing the season as C.

    C maybe an outside chance of B. Next season I think we will have a great chance if Alan Pardew is still here. The two year plan really started at the start of this season.

    I think B but potential to be A easily if we can get consistence

    B for this season but we have a bunch of very good young players coming through and bought in, so for next season I think A.

    ps I'm not surprised to see Fishnets on E ;-)

    Of Gray's three goals, two were penalties, neither earnt by himself. Indeed I do not believe he has created a shot for himself since he has been at the club, any goals he gets are likely to come from set-pieces or poor defending. On the occasions where he is up against a centreback who can't boss him, his hold up work always goes backwards - he never tries to put Luke or a winger in with a ball between defenders. The Jury is definitely still out on Mr Gray.

    Bad news from Pards is that he is going to drop Moo2 to accomodate Crainey who is unlikely to offer much going forward, much as the introduction of Halford saw us loose the attractive football we played last Xmas. I can feel C coming on already.

    Je suis agree mon cherie. Hopefully Todorov will be back fit soon and he can partner Varney. I can't actually remember Gray having a shot on goal, or actually turning and having the ball while facing the goal since he got here.
