Yesterday I encountered a woman with a dog, although a more accurate description would be a dog with a woman given the way she struggled with it, and started crossing the road in good time to get out of her way and maintain 'social distance' she then followed me so I doubled back and she did the same! In the end I took my life in my hands and walked down the centre of the road as by this time there was traffic in both directions.

This, this and more of this.
We’ve been without our JJ for 7 weeks now for some confidence training and fully expect him now to to be away for 12/14 weeks because of the situation, because totally inept owners can’t control their dogs, attacked four times he started to react before any situation arose, he’s never off lead in public places he walks to heel when we are out. Poor lead skills or loose dogs in the street have caused him to turn defence into attack and it sickens me to the stomach because he as the large powerful breed he will be blamed and possibly destroyed if he were to kill a small dog irrespective of what the other owners capabilities were as a dog handler. Social distancing is something dog owners need to understand, it’s not ok to allow your dog to wedge it’s face in another’s face because yours is “friendly” just as it’s not ok to humans to do it in this current climate. Anyone that knows my dogs and me will know, I put a lot of work into my dogs to make this breed socially acceptable in society and taking JJ away from the situation to help his rehabilitation had to be done as hard as it is for us, only just this morning we were told over 3k of board and lodging as well his training has been wavered as “ call it you owe me a favour”

please don’t repeat this @Redmidland on fb as where he is has asked me not disclose his location.
  • @TCE, Hi mate, sorry to hear about JJ, but my lips are sealed, not even going to tell Angie. Take care mate and I hope JJ comes back home soon. I agree there are many irresponsible dog owners who really shouldn't have a dog. We dog owners with the larger breeds that you and I have are the ones that seem to get the blame, but sadly, when Angie is out with our GSD's they keep getting attacked/approached by the smaller breeds where people cant control them. I'm making a plea that if you cant control a dog, whatever the size, then DONT let them off the lead SIMPLE!!

I remember about 20 years ago when I had a large male black GSD that was very friendly. He was very confident and did not bother with other dogs. Another owner with a smaller GSD bitch used to allow hers to go off lead and chase and sometimes hurt smaller dogs, then one day he thought he would try it on with mine, in a flash, mine turned it over and stood there with his mouth just above the other dogs throat. With the other dog howling the owner run up and said "he has deserved this for a long time", (yes honestly, as if she had no control over what he did). I said nothing and eventually my dog allowed it to get up without a scratch on it. That dog never came near us again

  • People taking the piss. My car just came back from the garage after someone drove into it stationary. He owned up and his insurance paid, had a hire car while my car was being fixed.

let the insurance company know and then get a call from the hire car company in know we dropped you off and you can’t get back from here easily but we can’t pick the car up due to the current restrictions, can you drop it off and get a taxi home?’

No mate we aren’t leaving the house and I’m not bringing my son out for that trip.

ok, please hold and we will see what we can do.

    Beep beep beep

we can come and pick it up tomorrow morning.

Connecting remotely to work and our caps lock randomly toggles.

It will say caps lock on but type capitals and vice versa.

A nightmare when entering passwords on various work systems where the password is starred out as you type it in.

  • We (wifey, 2 kids and me) currently live in a small 2-bedroom house. This place is like an obstacle course. The place is way too small for us and we knew this, but it was a temporary solution, but we're building a double-storey house in the garden with more than twice the space of the current house.
The house is less than 3 days away from being completed and last Wednesday everything stopped for at least 4 weeks.
They basically just have to install 2 x heat pumps and switch the hot water on and we're good to go.
But no, we can't enter the house.

I know other people are in a much worse situation, but it's like being able to touch the line finish line and being told to stop.

Just a shame it's on paper view, we can't enter the house.

    Good luck with that, Roly.

Agree. Was terrified of dogs from about 5-10, and not ashamed to say that I still feel on edge sometimes when walking past one in the park without a lead on. Hate the fact that some dog owners expect everyone to like their dog and if you don't like dogs you're some kind person without happiness.

Also their favourite quote of, "It won't hurt you, it's only playing", does my head in.

You should come down here mate (or maybe you shouldn’t) part or the beach is allotted as  “The dog beach” and according to some if you walk along that part of the beach you should expect to be charged or leapt on by a dog!

I don’t blame you mate, apparently those rules don’t apply if your Dog is jumping at them though. 😂
