Stopped at services on way back from Plymouth...Subway, Greggs and Burger King concessions with communal seating.
Fancied a sandwich so looked in Greggs, 50p dearer to ‘eat in’ rather than ‘take away’. Thieving tossers didn’t get my business out of principle.
Think it is do do with VAT on hot food consumed in a "restaurant".
Most outlets swallow the VAT they have to pay HMRC but service stations don’t worry about repeat customers. When VAT was first introduced it was standard to have dual pricing.
'Man gives Birth' - GMB story this morning, a film has been made about a transgender person called 'Jason' who was born a women, but now wants to be a man, who has given birth.
This women still has all her plumbing etc and a bit of a beard, but wants me to suspend belief and facts and consider her a man, so she can make a film about this miracle. Do me a favour. Its all getting silly now, the story should be 'Women With Beard Gives Birth'. So no story whatsoever, Chatham is full of 'em. But what annoys me even more is that the interviewers are buying into it. And some nobber has made a film about it...I mean what the fuck is going on in the world?

Greggs in Bromley charge different prices, Dipps. Maybe it's their company policy, or down to individual franchisees (if that's the case)?

We are getting old mate...
Funny enough I was talking to my son last night about Gordon Strachan.
My son said that he was surprised why Sky should even take the chance of employing 'old' people to summarise or give their opinion about anything. I of course challenged him (on behalf of 'old' people). I said, 'What on earth do you mean'? He just replied, 'Well you know, sooner or later there'll be a lapse back to the old days and all that intemperate language'.
To be clear he wasn't accusing anyone of being racist or sexist. He just feels that the nuances of modern day sensitivities are often lost on the straight talking older generation. It's not so much feelings or intent, its more to do with words and the order we place them in.

Hope you told him off for discriminating against a person's age...

I hope you sent him to bed without any dinner.
I would have given him a slap for throwing the word 'intemperate' into a conversation with me.

That is GMB for you, you have been told but you will not listen.

Still far more balanced than the Tory run Beige Broadcasting Corporation.
Television series now called Season! School pupils called students!! Semesters in stead of terms!!! Police stations now called Police Contact points. I could go on, ...
Pretty annoyed with whoever made the decision to introduce mini shopping trolleys for little kids to push around in Morrisons. Whoever made the decision may know lots of well behaved, socially aware little angels, they obviously don’t know that there’s uncontrollable little buggers who see nothing wrong in treating the aisles like a Formula One track. They’re more of an annoyance than old folk socialising in there on pension day.

That McDonald's advert grates on my nerves, I swear if I was in a room and somebody said it I would swing for them.
Is it any good (I've never watched it)?
