[cite]Posted By: northstandsteve[/cite]i think it will be offered every year.
I hope we don't have to offer it next year or is that what you meant?
Been out all day and was fearful that I'd return to read a very negative set of responses so pleasantly surprised at how positively it has been received, on CL at least.
This morning I was definitely not renewing. Now I'm having second thoughts. I'll have to speak with Mrs McMoist to see what she thinks (She was trying to talk me out of not renewing)

Damn you, Derek Chapell
Hmmn..900 sheets for my 4 season tickets...
Listen to th Mrs, you know you want to and if it all goes wrong you can blame her ; - )
I could have sworn I paid 525 (475 next year) for my premium East stand E block ticket, perhaps I am misremembering. Can anyone recall? Can someone summarise the increases for simpletons like me?
The best bit of news for months, i think the club could see people giving up there season tickets this year after such a poor season. I for one was gutted that we were going to miss out on something free, and i do like free stuff. So i am now very optimistic that we will do the business next season and be back where we belong and i will have an extra £340 in my pocket for season 2009/10 to buy 100 pints of lager.

I thought that but was given the correct info by Airman Brown the other day.
East stand D & E were £475 - C & F were 450. So D & E stay the same and the latter go up £25
did I miss something or I am just thick (no coments please)
I though the deal this season was a FREE season ticket next year if we had got promoted, but as I read it the terms now are that if you buy a season ticket before August next seasons will be at the same price - ie no increase.
As I sit in block F of the East Stand this makes it approx £20 per game in the Championship and assuming no increases £25 for the Premiership ( most expensive seat @ £475)......is this right.

I'll send the tin hat back!
What i mean is why not if we dont go up next year offer it again, what's the difference from year on year.18 thousand season ticket holders are worth more to the club in the championship than the premiership due to the tv money they receive in the premiership.

The deal is the same as last year - in that there will be a free season ticket issued for next season if we get promoted and you have a season ticket before August.
There are some changes to prices though - some up and some down.
In your case (and mine), in the East stand we paid £450 for the current season but this will increase to £475 for next - this will bring Blocks C and F up to the same `premium' price as blocks D & E. I hope that makes sense!

Season tickets in 2009/10 will be free to everyone who buys for 2008/09 by August 1st.
For avoidance of doubt, adult prices last season were £475, £450 and £315 - what we've done is increase the premium area by four blocks (two in the upper west and two in the east) and split the north stand, putting the north upper and NW quadrant up £25 and the north lower down £25.
This reflects the fact that these blocks are pretty solid with season tickets at present. If you don't want to pay the £25 extra in the east and west you can move one block and save the money, in the process freeing up that a seat the club can sell for £5 more a game than the seat you will then occupy.
I think this is a pretty good deal. As it happens my ticket will go up £25 but I can live with that (or move which I don't think I'll do). Well done to the club for keeping the freebie deal up there as a carrot.
Hats off to the Board. With all the bad feeling at the moment and people declaring they wouldn't renew, the Board have overall trumped a difficult situation.
Sensible & sensitive marketing - and in the best interests of both the club & the supporters.
my thoughts exactly oggy i think the board have kept a finger on the fans view this year especially when it was looking like we had screwed it up imo 7 games ago for playoffs.
well marketed well timed
hmmmmmmmmmmmm i wonder how many of henners new chums he has got viewing on here
So how much is a ticket in E Block of the East on a match by match basis, cos this price still works out at over £20 a game and I can see a lot of people not renewing.
You only have to miss one game a season and you end up well out of pocket.
I dont know how we compare with others, but I think £475 is a lot for a season ticket in this league, if I knew I could buy my seat on a match by match basis I dont think I would renew, missed 3 home games this season.

Isnt this the point of the whole package and why I think its so good. You have a choice. If its price thats the problem there are much cheaper options. If its the best seat you want then you wont get that on a match by match basis so its a tad more expensive. From what I can gather from the press release it is only those expensive seats that will get any where near costing the same as buying one at a time. I think the balance is superb and buying an ST in a cheap area looks a no brainer to anyone who is likely to go to more than half the games.

As the story states, the standard match price for a seat in east block E will be £25, with some matches at £30. That implies an aggregate price of at least £575 (i.e. 23 x £25), so you'd have to miss at least five games before you'd be better off - and east block E is currently one of the most difficult places to buy a match ticket.
I for one think its a great idea i used corperate hospitallity for 7 games this year so i would have been much better off buying on a match by match basis i am not rich nor well off so it is hard to justify this to the trouble and strife however it is about all of us pulling together and doing our bit if we can afford it.
Pardew,Team,Board,Fans the board put their cash in and now if we want too more will choose to put theirs in. if not pay on the day and dont winge about i would be better off because i will miss a few matches.
We built what weve got together lets continue to do so
feeling a lot better about it all today up the addicks

well done all of them imo
As i am going against the grain and reapplying, will I benefit from this offer?
Might move to North Lower or one of the quadrants.
Perhaps there's a small clause saying that prices will be double.
