So are you happy with AC?
I'm not happy with his brand of football. Its just plain (very plain) diabolical.
Final straw for me was playing 4-5-1 up at bolton 2 games back. Thats with 4 recognised strikers travelling up there. Against a team who were 3rd bottom. He showed them far too much respect and we got what we deserved for it.
It all smacks of we don't give a f*ck at the moment.
Thats why we want the kids (sears, tomkins & collison) to play every week and get the full 90. At least the kids are battling & showing a bit of pride. The way we made derby look good at times in the second half was shambolic.
I'm willing to give him next season after his guidence last year led us to safety. I still think we owe him that, coupled with him getting us to 40 points so early with the injuries we've had, which I see as a decent achievement. But if it is more of the same next season then he will be gone for sure. The board & more importantly the fans won't accept it.

would you rather be in west hams position with curbs
or charltons position with pardew ??
Are you for real? As WSS said, stupid question.
If we can get the likes of dyer & bellemy fit, faubert match fit (we've not seen him all season, a great prospect - got a fantastic cross on him) keep parker fit (been superb when he's played regularly) coupled with the likes of ashton/bobby z/noble/green/anton/upson etc etc etc we have got a fantastic chance of pushing on for top 6 or 7.
Bloody hell thats far too positive, what am i thinking, CURBS OUT, BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Yes, but Curbs knew when he bought them tha Dyer and Bellamy were very injury prone so he can't complain about them getting injured and he also knew Parker had injury trouble at Newcastle. The question should really be why West Ham get so many injuries, it can't just be bad luck, surely? Some blame must lie with the training/medical people too.
ok silly question but i thought a lot of charlton fans were glad curbs left us and that we managed to get pardew and i know that some west ham fans would still prefer to have pardew rather than curbs...
i just don't understand it, still each to their own

We've recently employed some university to look into all this and sort it out, & building a new training ground.
I know dyer is injury prone but you can't foresee an impact injury like his, that was a bloody gorrible break he got.

I thought it was a young man called Tevez who kept you up.
We always got to 40 points early and we always had injuries, his MOTD spout was the same every week.
I really do not remember AC doing anything special when we beat you 4 nil or when you lost that crazy game to Spurs.
To me it seemed that the players (well Tev) said to himself: this club is going down unless I do something, which he did. A bit like Di Canio nearly did for you a few years earlier.
but but but Curbs is Wesssssssssssssssssst Ammmmmm in eeeeee. I mean 100% total cockney up the apples down the plates muvva brown ! luv this gaff luv it !!
15+ years at CAFC player -- coach--- joint manager----manager----- twat.

Thank goodness for some sense. Please whisper this to Len Glover and Oooohahhhh.
I have nothing but respect for the bloke for what he did for us, but he got stale and could not get the team to push on once safe- EVER. His heart was always at Upton Park and who can blame him for that? (Maybe AP's is too) He was with us for years but never moved house to SE London, surely that tells you something?
He is a professional and is now where he has always dreamt of being. I just do not think he is as good as some believe he is.
Chirpy, bit hypocritical for you to have a pop at Len when you start/contribute to a thread like this.
Why on earth does he need to move to SE London when Charlton is probably a 15 minute drive from where he lives?
You go on about Curbs boring football and always finishing the season with a whimper, have a look at our form since February, and Pards hasnt exactly got us playing like the dutch team in the 70's.
One thing that does not appear to have been mentioned is that Curbs had far TOO much power at Charlton (Something that will never be allowed to happen again), he was dabbling in everything to do with the club at the end, when at the end of the day 1st Team Football Manager was his job.
I am just amazed we are nearly up to 150 posts on this :-)
[cite]Posted By: carly burn[/cite]Watch West Ham lay down and die at the weekend.Curbs owes Fergie one after last season!
Curbs has already said that he will raise a glass of wine to Fergie if he wins the title again and that he feels that Fergie deserves to win the titile.

Ferguson has been the best manager in the British game over the last 25 years and is up there with the best of all time, not just for a few good seasons, or getting lucky with a couple of good players, but through long-term success. He has put together at least three good teams during his tenure, that alone shouldn't be sniffed at.

See above.
are you talking about curbs or kinsella......
Russell Brand actually.
Why on earth does he need to move to SE London when Charlton is probably a 15 minute drive from where he lives?

Curbishley wanted to go and most fans would agree that the time was right. Which part of that do you have a problem with?
Yep you're right, silly me to forget the clean sheets he kept against the likes of Man U, arsenal, everton etc in the run in.
I don't seem to remember the little guy you claimed kept us up doing much when you beat us 4-0 neither, nor when Sheff U embarrassed us.
Curbs has already said that he will raise a glass of wine to Fergie if he wins the title again and that he feels that Fergie deserves to win the titile.
i make him right
Fergie Watch..........
