[cite]Posted By: Salad[/cite]put them in the UPPER West
The away end actually holds 3448, so if for example, Palace had the west stand lower where there are 4400 seats (inc directors box) we would displace virtually everyone in that stand. OK we don't have to give them that many but for comparison.
Similarly the East stand holds just under 6,000, so with segregation etc we could lose around just short of 3800 seats out of 5900. The west upper holds just over 3500, and even if this were offered to the away fans, the Police would object to having ‘away’ fans sitting above home supporters, and who could disagree with them.
Other problems would include splitting toilets and kiosks and this would create even more problems.
All of this is also on the assumption that we would sell tickets to home fans in the Jimmy Seed, and I am not too sure that we would actually sell this out anyway as the facilities aren't that great. Also there is no guarantee that the tickets in the Jimmy Seed would be sold to 90 minute singers
[cite]Posted By: ltgtr[/cite]dont put them in the west stand, they'll be in full view of the tv cameras every time the play is down that end...it wont look good for us whether they are well supported or poorly supported with lots of empty seats...put them out of sight in the east...
And people complain about TV having too much say over what happens in football.
Just re-build The Jimmy Seed Stand with a small lower section and a big upper section. Stick the away fans in the lower section and the home fans in the upper.
Other than that, I don't see it happening.
Or we could just play well, score an early goal and keep the away fans quiet.
Oh, and the home fans could sing if we're not winning too.
The most practical solutions methinks.
