For starters i am knocking the cup game on the head, a four hour round journey, to go and watch a bunch of spinelless mugs, they couldnt slip down that tunnel quick enough at the end, and Thomas doing his upmost to look disapointed at the end, well a little tip JT, work your nuts off for 90 minutes, once maybe twice a week and you wont have to try look so gutted, all what has been achieved over the last ten plus years has been smashed apart in 18 months, can u imagian the likes of , Pender, Humphrey, Reid, Shirtliff, Rufus, Bowyer, Parker, Kieley, Robinson, Hunt, Mendonca, Kinsella, Brown turning in performances as we have seen over the last eight weeks, maybe Henry as the fans rep on the board you should print some of these messages off and give them to coaching staff to read to the players, although they wouldnt give a monkeys,
funnily enough, i was thinking in the second half, the likes of stevie brown, super clive, deano, kins, rufus, robbo, stuart and more would have been genuinely ashamed to turn in a team performance like that - i wonder how many of ours did today?
as charlton we've never been top dogs (or even close in my era, maybe back to the 1940's) but we've always rolled our sleeves up
in the premiership we used to get the ball on the deck and have a go at out-trying and out-passing any team that turned up at ours, right from the first season - where's that drive gone?
[cite]Posted By: Ledge[/cite]oggy my old mucker i was being sarky mate. a certain other poster on this board reckoned you were not a proper supporter if you did not go to norwich on boxing day to stay at home with family like myself and many others
Okay, Ledge - I missed the subtlety of that....! ;o)

And I remember some of those players having utter dogs of days
That as maybe Rothko, but they always rolled their sleves up, this mob couldnt hold a light to these players, and collecrive cost a fraction of the fees paid out to the crap we have served up since November
[cite]Posted By: razil[/cite]I hate to moan, but given the choice I decided to stay at home in the bosom of my family today.
Pards has built a one dimensional team around the talent of Reid (someone with a history of injury problems), take him away and you little else
A team who thinks it has a god given right to promotion,
players out of position,
Poor tactics,
Lack of ideas,
underperforming and unmotivated players
some puzzling signings
And to top it off players who did nothing for us seem to play with gusto for everyone else,
Everything we've been complaining about for the last 3 years or so under previous managers. The only thing that has really changed is the personnel who on paper are worth a good deal less.
Sort it out please...
I did the same thing Barney...... Last day off with the little one and the wife so decided to go and see the Golden Compass in Bexleyheath instead..... Hate to say it but after having watched us struggle in the old Div 1 and Div 2, then finally get up to the PL, stay there for so long, playing Colchester at home just doesnt cut the mustard.
Perhaps as I get older I have more important things in my life, or perhaps the standard of football is just s**t!!
And to think some people thought this might be a good for the club... £10m loss, redundancies, crap players, poor league, little or no atmosphere...... Hhhhmmmmm
Norwich? U having a laugh, Mcleod, done nothing when he come on and took him off after 40 minutes of being a sb, Leicester away, should we not be beating teams such as these as WBA did recently, lets not mention QPR,Burnley, Sheff U,Colchester, at home, dont defend them ,they are spineless, and the reality is we are not that good....
Its a joke to read Pardews press conference after Colchester game- Now we are aiming to finish the season in a play-off place!!! If this is the way we are motivating our players I'm not surprised we are dropping points so rapidly. Pardew is a good manager from what I can tell but it seems from the outside that there are some big problems within the squad. Fair enough we have loads of injuries but no matter who we pick from the squad they should be of the ability to beat the team thats bottom of the division surely??? - Colchester didn't even play that well, we just gave them far too much time and space - Where is our workrate?

This 'mob' have shown some balls in recent weeks, Norwich shows they've got something about them, by all accounts it was a gutsy point at Leicester.
