if it was moved to the sunday instead of the friday, we'd have had to move our midweek game later that week from the tuesday to the wednesday and then have less time to prepare for our watford game tho if it was moved to the sunday?
Those that wish to cause trouble will do so if its a friday night or a sunday morning. There will be a massive police presence to stop this happening, and if you're silly enough to get involved with the sentences being thrown about these days, well you're mad.
For the average fan like me and you, it will simply mean a chance to have a couple of drinks to get into the spirit, and a cracking atmosphere.
And of course, i hope our club are insisting that any Palace supporter who has so much as passed wind in a football ground, gets THE letter from Croydon OB......
Oh bugger. The 9th's my birthday, so was going to have a pre-match meal with the family, but that's not going to be a goer if the game's on the evening on the 8th.
Seems odd. Presumably the OB think that less drinking will take place and also that they can concentrate their forces over a shorter period of time? Set against this presumably would be their spotters will have much more trouble in the dark than during the day?
I shall force myself to go though. Not one to miss methinks.
The police have received a tip-off that the Palace thugs aren't allowed out after 8pm as they have to be tucked up in bed by 9.30 with their teddy bears and a cup of cocoa.
B*gger. We booked our flights yesterday - arriving at Gatwick at 6.15pm on the Friday. That is going to be tight if not impossible!!! Why is there not more consideration for long-distance fans??? Oi Henry, sort it out, please! Sat or Sun lunchtime would have made a lot more sense to me.

I think if the choice was made to supporters between a Friday night, or a Sunday lunchtime, the vast majority would prefer the Friday night. In my opinion.

if the clueless handling of the 1st September didn't prove the naivity of the OB this certainly does
if the police had any decent "advice" it would be on sunday at noon
shame they don't - all dayer get in!

im going to get down the pub early doors, get tanked up on stella and absinthe and will be arranging a meet up with their yoof about 6.30.
or just worried that the club will read feedback such as this and will push for it to be put back to noon on Sunday, which no one wants.........
Can you not delete the thread then?
Aaaah sod it. Why not make it noon on Friday just to make sure no one can go....!!!
If these mobs want to fight it does not matter what time of day you play the game trouble will happen
Im sure there will be people booking days of or throwing sickies
I think I'll pass and just by you a beer in the vineyard afterwards!
