I think the attitude of our fans has a lot to do with our poor performances at home.
As for Pards not being the one to get us out of this – he has a great record of getting teams promoted and he'll do the same for us, if he's given time.
[cite]Posted By: ct_addick[/cite]maybe pards is not the one to get us out of this......seems we are being sussed out at home...that midfield looked soft today holland, reid, ambrose....
The goals we conceded were from two free kicks delivered to the centre of the penalty area and a hand ball/penalty by Danny Mills.
It doesn't look like the midfield has been the problem, just poor defensive organisation - bear in mind we seem to have had more possession than Burnley and have had considerably more shots on goal, whether on/off target. That would suggest that the midfield haven't been the problem.
I agree its the defense....as tall as he is I think Fortune is not hard enough. But that midefield when I looked at it I thought was lighweight. I don't feel you can play Holland, ZZ and Ambrose. Whos is going to do the holding tackling role? I heard good things about Racon but he has disappeared in the reserves. Semedo wasn't playing today so I feel I have every right to question team selection.
It's hard to say this with any conviction whatsoever not seeing 95% of the games, but for my money any defence with John Fortune at the heart is going to be liable to concede soft goals - never been convinced by him.
We've just conceded 6 goals at home in 2 matches yet have had most of the play most of the time.
We are not exactly getting well beat - just mugged.
There's a soft underbelly to this side with individuals being vulnerable - including giving away 2 soft penalties.
It's a long time since we won a penalty - so are we not getting in areas to hurt teams?
But 3 set piece goals today tells a story.
We give them away but can't defend them.
it's going to be a long journey down to Cardiff tuesday but it's got to be turned around
will be interested to hear what Pards made of today and though disappointed I hope nobody is put off going tuesday by today's events - every game counts and away from home we are an altogether different prospect right now
Don't want to be neagtive because I just tried to be positive on my blog but those two late goals gave us 4 valuable points. Without them we would be 12th!
[cite]Posted By: Charlie Block[/cite]Four defeats in the last five home games quite frankly is not f**king good enough. If we did not have our recent away wins we would be in real deep sh*te.
and that is the problem. Most fans only see the home games, see us lose, and they have paid their money for that. Irrespective of whether you won every away game the home fans only see those games and so feel mugged off. They pay their money they expect results. And rightly so. If I hadn't gone to Soton, Bristol City, Preston I'd feel a lot more gutted thatn I do now.

Im outta here. Speak soon!
two free headers from 6 yards and a penalty
we are just making a few sloppy mistakes and getting punished for every single one of them right now
