SE10 - No worries - there are already enough problems with knee-jerk reactions to alleged 'racism' in this country - what with the BNP, black community leaders stirring it up all the time, the media looking to portray every crime as a 'racist hate crime' and christ knows what else.
No-one's accusing anyone of racism on this forum, its just that sometimes comments written down don't convey the same meaning as they do when spoken.
I agree with you - it does seem a problem peculiar to the English game. Of course, it may well just be that it gets more widely reported in the English media than similar incidents might be on the continent, but I can say with complete assurance that there are very few incidences of thuggery by young players in the Spanish leagues. They do have their own problems (mainly racism) but it does seem that, if the Spanish leagues are representative of the rest of Europe, that thuggish behaviour is a peculiarity of the English game.
Mainly a case of thick, ill-brought up kids being given far too much money and having far too many ponces hanging around them for their own good I reckon.
I say who gives a toss what he does off the pitch. If he plays well for Charlton which i think he does, he can hit whoever he wants. If he goes down fair enough, if his performance drops, then we can sell him!!!

Was probably out boozing with them?
It does leave me cold to read of so-called 'athletes' on the p*ss. No wonder Thomas sometimes looks well out of condition. Sad to say, but that's why it's more of an English (British) problem - apart, that is, from our old friends Souly and Mark drinks-like-a Fish...

Then again I guess it gives a pointer to the 'Thomas to Derby' rumours that abounded before the transfer window closed.
Life could be a bowl of Cherries........(!)
Why is it you can't find a Sun reporter when you need one ??
