Bree

On reflection a few months in, I do have to say the 'hit rate' of some of these players have been quite poor so far. The two main free signings seem to be the best signings we've made.

    Just need to stop giving Jones big money to buy individual players every player he’s spent big on have either been crap or he just doesn’t trust

    Feel like I’m still waiting for most of them to confirm they’ve really improved us. Carey definitely and Bell was doing well. Bree started excellently but he was never realistically going to keep scoring and assisting at the same rate.

    It wouldn’t shock me to see one or two loaned out or sold in January.

    On the other hand, I could still imagine one or two stepping up as the season progresses.

    Honestly the biggest disappointment of the lot for me has been Knibbs , yes Carey has been class but bar the winner opening day I'm struggling to think of anything Knibbs has really contributed.

    Wonder if Luton have anymore players they can give us... We must have a couple more Retail Vouchers available that we've not used there - Burke and Bell have been alright when they've been fit after all

    Bell, Bree and Burke have been successes but were all well known to NJ. 

    Of those he didn't work with previously only Carey is a success so far. 

    The others all have a chance but £750K - £1M for JRC is looking an awful signing and £1.5M for Olaofe not great business either.

    If you're being generous you could say that players take time to adapt to Jones' style and that's why he brings back so many players he's worked with before. Maybe with time Tanto, Apter, Knibbs and the rest will come good but the jury is currently out

    Yep, I was going to say we've not even had the January transfer window yet, so why have we got a thread for the summer one? Best to take the discussion over there rather than have 2 threads going at once.
