Swansea are a good passing side which doesn't suit us. They are not so good at scoring goals, especially with their main striker out. They can also concede but we found it difficult to lay a glove on them when they got their passing game together. They kept the ball with ease and we couldn't. Having said that, it was a point and a win tonight and it was a great point. I don't think we were tired on Saturday, just chasing shadows a bit although I would like to see Anderson on the bench for an injection of energy if required. West Brom are coming into the game on the back of a disapointing nil nil at home to Sheffield Wednesday so may not be firing on all cylinders themselves. Hopefully they will suit us more. We also have to factor in the effect losing two defenders would have been to the side, and it is a worry going forwards if they are going to be out for a while as we are already without Edwards and could be a bit exposed there. And of course, defending has been our strength this season. But to be fair, we defend as a team.1

Imo, putting Apter into a five man defence is like running out of mortar and finishing off a wall with sand. Leave the kid to playing in an attacking position where he belongs, and can do great damage to their wall instead.8

2-1 to the Baggies - thing we'll struggle in defence. Can see Jones or Maca getting a red card tonight...1

So we have lost Burke, Bell and now possibly Kelman (hamstring training) within a few days. That is bad luck.
Pick up any more and Saturday will be a struggle.Based on the above a draw tonight would be a good result.4 -

At this point I've given up trying to explain to people that we're clearly a 4231 in possession with the RWB pushing up as a winger and only a 5 man defence out of it. If after almost one entire earth year of it people still can't figure it out then I think we have to accept that they never willcantersaddick said:

No point even replying to him - just like @golfaddick, he has no idea what he’s talking about. It must run in the family.cantersaddick said:

Due to injuries I think we'll lose this one. 1-2 WBA.0

The highs & lows of football !
I think the best we can hope for tonight is a hard fought draw. we knew we would face a few crisis periods over the season injury wise and I think we are facing one now. Fortunately the international break is comming at the right time for us to re group0 -
For me WBA are a bit of a bogey team! Going 1-0 to us - fans will be important tonight. Despite the injuries for us they are not in the best of form. Hoping their players dont fancy a long trip to the smoke0

The two evening games at home against them that immediately spring to mind are a 2-1 win on a Friday night (pretty sure that was them) when they were at the top of the league and Killer appeared on the ITV lunchtime football preview the next day; and the other was when we bounced back to the PL at the first time of asking and beat them 5-0CAFCKentFan said:For me WBA are a bit of a bogey team! Hadn't considered that West Brom will be looking to avenge the humiliation of letting Josh Davison score against them. We'll have to be at our best.clive said:5 -

Going for a rare high scoring win for us. 3-2 under The Valley lights.1 -

The 5-0 was in our first Prem promotion season (97-98). Frustratingly had to miss it for work reasons, had to get the score by phoning Clubcall from Waterloo stationletthegoodtimesroll said:

WBA home was my first ever game. We lost 4-1 thanks to a Robbie Earnshaw hat trick. He did a front flip right in front of me. For some reason I kept coming back1

Laqeretabua playing for the U21s today, I thought he might sneak on the bench/be the spare man but that seems unlikely. I know some of our players did an U21/first team double for a cup game but that's a different kettle of fish1

Surely they’d mention in the preview if Kelman was injured?clive said:0 -

If Kelman really did his hamstring how unlucky after scoring his first goal.1

Can't deny i'm not feeling confident about this. People keep saying we must be blowing out of our arse by now and that's fair enough but it's probably a symptom of the way we play. The problem is, i don't think we can play any other way so we really need the bench players to come into things and keep the tempo up. I'd keep the Gillesphey, Jones, Ramsey back 3 in tact then probably go for Bree and Campbell as wing backs with Leaburn up top with Kelman. Midfield as normal but get the likes of Tanto, Anderson and Apter on for a good chunk of the second half to inject some legs and pace.1

Any news on Godden? If Kelman's out could he make the bench?0

We’ll lose tonight and go on a terrible run over November.
