How ridiculous 8pm on a Saturday night .. what happened to football
It’s better than some of the other kick off times other matches in the round will have. At least it isn’t a school night!

I haven’t got a TNT subscription. How is the best way to watch on TNT without subscribing to a long term contract?
    Go to the pub
  • Have absolutely no issue whatsoever with the club charging 25-30 quid, it’s still far better than most average football stadium prices, the club makes money from the day trippers and I have no doubt We will still sell out at 30
  • Charge £10 a ticket and double the price of the half and half scarves for the day trippers on here that think £20-£30 for a Saturday evening match in mid-January will see a full house. win/win

There’s potential for this one to be poorly handled imo.

It really needs to be restricted to existing database sales (like the Millwall and Pompey games this season). As we know, that still doesn’t stop tickets getting into non-CAFC fans hands as our database is peppered by locals who support other clubs who’ve been to previous cheap games, but it does limit it. It will equally limit the possibility of a sell out.

Sell it non-restricted then the tickets will fly to non-cafc fans like we see on a lot of Saturday games these days. The club can charge more for tickets then but you open up a massive risk door.

I'd be amazed if they dont put database restrictions on home tickets as Chelsea will obvs sell out.

They may want to consider £20 or £25 for every seat to guarantee a comfortable sell out. Or Category C / bronze or whatever it is called these days.

The kick off day/time could have been worse, but it could also be better. I know it's Chelsea but if we see £35 or £40, and its a restricted sale, we may struggle at those prices.

Hopefully they opt to fill the ground and take this as an opportunity to showcase the club in its best light.
Don’t forget BOTH clubs have to agree the prices. If they can’t agree the FA will step in to sort it out.

The last train into London bridge is 00:05 so I should be ok unless penalties goes to 100 all  ;)

If they have to show an 8pm Saturday game, then it makes sense for it to be a local "derby". A tedious journey home afterwards, as it'll take ages to clear Charlton station, but at least most people will be able to get home by train.
    Speak for yourself.

(Not that I'd even attempt to go to The Valley by train.)

And if the shootout goes our way Chelsea will still claim the match was a draw!

Think we should take a leaf out of FIFA’s book and charge £3,119 per ticket.

If you've got Sky you can take out TNT Sports on a month by month basis. I think you just have to give 31 days notice you want to cancel it.

Your local charges you a monthly subscription?!
  • There will no doubt be a moody stream for those wanting to watch the game on TNT sports. VPN helps but even without it's sometimes not too bad.
