80,000 in tv money and 26,500 minimum in prize money to be received by the club. Now to see what the club do with ticket prices
OK timing for me but a lot of our fans might have an issue with late trains on a weekend night.

£10 and we might more or less fill the ground for the TV cameras to see. More than that and, unless we give Chelsea the East stand as well, I can’t see us getting more than 15-18k…and that’s before the weather starts getting cold.

So where's everyone drinking for this? Spoons London Bridge or Greenwich from 9am?

No way will it be £10. £20-25 and we’ll still get close to a sell out IMO. Chelsea are a big draw

I actually think that’s the worst slot in terms of affecting the crowd size.

Too easy to make excuses not to go and defer to TV.

They need to price it right but I’m not hopeful they will

The likely delay getting out the ground will feel worse at 10pm.

Phew -got tickets for The Classic Rock Show on the Monday!
  • Makes sense. Both clubs are huge in the USA.

If they have to show an 8pm Saturday game, then it makes sense for it to be a local "derby". A tedious journey home afterwards, as it'll take ages to clear Charlton station, but at least most people will be able to get home by train.

it will sell out - the woodwork / glory boy factor is large - no way will it be £10 though, agreed

btw  - i think 8pm saturday ko's should be banned - if that doesn't erode the culture of our country i don't know what does - having said that, its better than a monday or sunday but not as good as a 3pm saturday

Saturday 8pm is pretty decent when you consider it was bound to be on TV, so no Saturday 3pm was available.

As for it being £10 to get in, some of our supporters seem to live in la la land.
We'll be lucky if it's £20, but more likely £25 minimum.

2pm on Saturday. Haven’t had a normal kick off time for Charlton like that in years. Result.

£25 tickets and this sells out - lots will come out the woodwork for a decent day drinking and an 8pm KO on a Saturday

Charge £20 or more and I suspect on the night we will be sending a big fucking message to companies that advertise, potential fans and others that even against Chelsea, the ‘current world champions’ we can’t even fill half our ground.

For those of us that live in London, especially those of us that have a tube station or two nearby, 8pm is pretty fine. For everyone else it’s bound to have some issue or other in January.
  • Best slot love it

    Well that wont help! :(
  • They may want to consider £20 or £25 for every seat to guarantee a comfortable sell out. Or Category C / bronze or whatever it is called these days.

The kick off day/time could have been worse, but it could also be better. I know it's Chelsea but if we see £35 or £40, and its a restricted sale, we may struggle at those prices.

Hopefully they opt to fill the ground and take this as an opportunity to showcase the club in its best light.
