A lot of new food options in the Curbs stand today, including a Jerk chicken stall (cooked on bbq grill), plus another bar near the entrance

Having a jerk pre-match is novel.
    What about during the match?

Depends how good the football is
  • The Turkish by the flyover is our go to.  Cash only though.

    ...

Actually scrub that.  It's small and I don't want it getting too popular.  It's rubbish 😆

The jerk chicken stall is a nice addition but takes up a fair bit of space at a prime spot at the top of the slope. I fear it may cause an unnecessary bottle neck on games the East is well populated, so will be interesting to see if still there next week. Would be better positioned at the more sparse far South end of the concourse. Sons photos from before game below

Order on the site and pay by card, but order it half hour ahead. It's at the end of my road so I shall frequent it often now!

you missed out on the catering extravaganza in the Fans Bar. Baked spud with cheese and coleslaw, or chilli, for £8,50. No butter on the spud so a little dry.

We need to get our pies off whoever supplies Bristol Rovers. They are fantastic.

The jerk chicken place was open after the game knocking out food at reduced rates, had some wings, they were very good. Hopefully they will have food left over going cheap at other games.

The food smelt very nice, but yes I was surprised by its location.

It's a difficult balancing act, balancing choice and indeed quality (this was a much higher quality operation than the stuff in the regular kiosks) with circulation space. The Fratton Park away end was awful to walk around, as the queues for the bars really impeded trying to get around.

We need to get our pies from Goddard's just up the road in Greenwich. Help a local business, improve the quality of our offering. No brainer surely.

Goddard's serving pie & mash at Charlton would be a sensation.

The food at the Valley, especially in the North Lower is dire. It’s barely warm and if they run out of chicken it takes them 20 minutes to make anything

I miss Chicken George so damn much.

    And sausages from Heap’s?
Also need to get decent ‘addock & chips on the menu.

You can get a Red Leicester ploughman’s from the Sainsbury’s, and then a cappuccino in the fans bar all for about £7.50.

They’re about to open a store in St Albans which is a nice enough place for a day trip if you’re feeling really nostalgic

I don’t normally eat at the stadium but I had a very nice pie (and a great selection of beer) at Norwich on Boxing Day. They also had no issues letting away fans into their swankier version of the Fans Bar post match. Very odd to go to a match and not be treated like a third class citizen at an away match.

Wonder if they offer the same to Millwall?

The Piglet Pies at Pompey were £5, full of
    filling and very nice.
The stuff at The Valley is overpriced and poor.
Hull serve Piglet Pies as well, great quality.
  • Had the Burgers at HT on concourse North Stand....Were wrapped in tin foil so warm but pretty tasteless tbh!
I did suggest to my mate eating from Burger Van in Harvey Gdns but he wanted a beer pre ko so went in fans Bar! Did warm up with 'Coffees' from 'Perkalicious' in Fans Bar later which,as always, were excellent!

I'd not been to Carrow Road for years, possibly since we were in the premier league. I don't do many aways now but I can only echo that. It was a joy (not the football) the bar service was rapid, stewards behaving nicely, everyone in and through the turnstiles quick, doors opened at halt time so people could have a smoke. Broke my golden rule of not eating at football and had a very decent pizza from the fans pen before the game for 12 quid.

What are people's thoughts of the service after the club had a meeting with the catering company?

Apparently it was okay the early games after discussions but it appears all is not good again.

service in the fans bar and covered end concourse upper was still very quick. I suspect the baked spud option only in the fans bar was a blip - maybe they did a new years eve event the day before?
