Fullah not in squad and Anderson is instead
    Fullah is on the bench.

    Nope
You're right but he was on the first team that was posted 🙃
  • Have we ever had a stronger bench?
  • I’d suggest Ramsay and Apter are our best players - bold call from the manager, even if it worked last week .  Let’s see .

Gudjohnsen on their bench could be a good player. Recent buy for them from Gent.
Barcelona/real Madrid youth teams, Icelandic international and son of Eidur Gudjohnsen.

Wow!!, someone who reads the Match Thread post, thanks...
But that was as per the OS...

    Ronny Pickering in defence, decent.
    Athletic lad, I've heard.

If I were you, I would stop digging.
  • Whose dropped from the bench to make way for Ramsay? I'm guessing it's Fullah but not 100% sure

    Who's Ronnie Pickering? 😁

Ain't got a clue what you're on about.
The team that was first posted had Fullah on the bench the second one had Anderson. 🙄

Probably our most technically accomplished players. That does not always equate to "best fit" for every situation.

Incidentally, I do not think leaving out Ramsay has anything to do with "punishing" him for his Millwall faux pas. It's just tactical (and may be right or wrong).

Let's just wait and see who comes out of the tunnel...
  • The article on the OS has been updated with Anderson now too. Sorry @eastterrace6168 it looks like you're going to need to update the first post :)

Thanks Ali, just nice to know someone actually reads my opening match posts...🤦‍♂️

Unchanged team makes sense, although I’d have liked to see Apter back in for a bit more attacking intent. Bench looks so strong. Feels very winnable today which always makes me nervous.

Assume Bree and Burke will come off after 60 mins or so and will play again Tuesday.

I like the unchanged 11, rewards a good performance and carries over confidence
    Spot on.

20-ish minutes to kick off and not looking much better:

All I can say I hope the bars are doing a rip-roaring trade today and everyone pops up before the start otherwise today's attendance will be a disappointment after good crowds thus far and a good away win last week.
  • Wish we would try and change the system a bit up front with Kelman.

  • Does 4-2-3-1 really work for us?

We played with wingbacks against Sheffield United.

Might aswell keep the ball rolling after we win and play well.

I don’t think that Bree offers less attacking intent than Apter, but he does offer more defensively. Bree was still getting forward enough to be in the box in the 91st minute for his assist last week. This is his heatmap for that match:

Doesn’t exactly sit deep. He might not be as creative but the attacking intent is certainly there

The OS says it’s 3-5-2, it’ll be the same as every game this season - defend in a 3-5-2, attack in a 4-2-3-1. Bree will push higher than Edwards, just as he did vs Sheff Utd.
  • Do people still not understand how we play after 9 months of it?
Stop opposition from scoring... Try and score a goal ourselves?
  • Game not available in Luxembourg?
  • I'd like to see us tear someone a new one and this could be the game
