    I know Bell's looked class but Macca is a proper set piece threat, and the famous diagonal/ long ball has been missed at times.

    Just randomly remembered Ben Purrington's goal at Ewood Park in 2019/20 to open the scoring that day.

    Gillesphey also breaks the string of all our goals being scored by summer signings: Knibbs -> Apter -> Carey -> Olaofe -> Gillesphey

    Quite poetic that he was the bloke who scored our last goal of last season at Wembley.

    Another half chance squandered but more encouraging signs of understanding building in our attack. There’s been some nice runs and players in possession are spotting them.
