Ended up flying in from Munich last minute. Managed to get 4 tickets on the door.8

It was quite simple, walked up to the counter and said 2 adults and 2 children please.
If I can do that waking up in Germany, not sure where the problem exists?..9 -
How many games are there likely to be where we sell so many tickets online in the three hours before kick off that there wouldn't be enough seats left for walk ups? It's not like we're going to sell out every week, even in this division. I also suspect that a fair number of the people buying online in the last 3 hours would be people that might otherwise be walk ups, making it even less of an issue. Agree. I still don’t know who it was that was on the video talking about the crowd we were hoping for and then about the ground improvements. I’m assuming he is in a witness protection programme.Airman Brown said:

I thought the issue was that Watford had sold the Away end out and thats why Charlton had put the Home tickets on restrictive sales for Online General Sale? My son's friend rang on Friday at 9pm and wanted to come so i bought him a ticket (I have a season ticket) his mates often buy their tickets at the main box office 30mins before the match, when there are no ticket restrictions with no problems ever.
As for Valley catering & bars, I don't bother, north stand fans bar isn't great lets be honest and bars if you call it that in East Stand are over priced and long queues with average food. Yesterday 14 of us meet in Viva Cafe about 1/2 a mile away as one of our party is disabled so we needed space in the cafe and parking close by. Then after the match we all meet up for drinks in the Pilot pub on North Greenwich pensulia, great pub 1/2 Charlton 1/2 Watford, free parking which suited us as two of our party were Watford fans who had sat in the away end. Wonderful day at the Valley before, during and after...... COYA's.2 -

Agreed, next two games are 12.30 KO and Millwall on Sept 13th will be 100% restrictive and the club aren't selling nearest blocks in ES + WS, limiting sales. I have a season ticket so its not a problem, I believe Valley Gold allows you to buy match tickets on restrictive sale?0

All week I work with businesses who are devising ways to make "customer experience" easier, so they can more easily sell their product. But at Charlton they always seemed to have done the opposite, but putting obstacles in the way.
In this day and age, why is it not possible to buy a print at home ticket digitally two hours before kick off?
Why was the ticket office advertised as being open from 10.30am but still shut at 10.50? So I couldn't buy one to be picked up.
We surely want to make it as easy as possible for lapsed supporters to come back? Especially when there were thousands of empty seats. Surely that is something we all can agree on?
In this instance we failed. And I've been working bloody hard to try and get him back into the fold.

Don’t know, but years back they were worried about the system falling over in the run-up to kick-off. Due to the Meire tax, they do have to change the pricing. I’m not sure how far that is a factor.redman said:

All makes sense in the modern age. So for it to be the case that you cannot buy online on the day of the match, and instead they want everyone to queue up and be served which is increasing costs seems odd. Yesterday with good weather and new season optimism the number of people wanting tickets on the day would have been bigger than most games this season.

Once you get out of the habit , it's hard to get back in.
I done 4 games last season, had tickets for another 3 away games and had paid train tickets.
Didn't do the 3 away games.
Even the play off semi final, if the boy hadn't been going I was not going to bother.
