At last we are back in the Championship and a good start would be just what we need. Who knows what Watford will be like, they could destroy us or vice versa. Should be a nice sunny day, perfect for a first match. Honours even, 1-1.
Does anyone know when they stop selling tickets online? I want to go but I’m on call with work so ideally don’t want to book until tomorrow morning once I know if I can actually make it

I still struggle to get my ahead around the fact that there were no subs allowed whatsoever prior to Keith Peacock coming on but now you can have nine times that on the bench and make five times the number of changes.
Yes agree. A clever manager can completely change the game by making the right changes at the right time - and planning that in advance. Makes it a totally different game in many ways.
Before substitutes many first choice players played carrying injuries or niggles because they didn't want a reserve coming in and displacing them. Many cup finals were ruined when someone was injured and spent most of the game hobbling about on the wing. trying to be a nuisance.
Alot of low scoring draws this season. This may be one of them. Really any result possible. Only result I fear is getting thumped, as it will imply the defence (which was so good last season) is not up to championship standard.
Irrespective of the result, everything that the club is doing makes it feel great to be a Charlton fan once again, and we have all earned the right to enjoy ourselves this season

In later years, but still before the Peacock revolution, it became fashionable to play such gimps at CF rather than the wing. Less far to run, I guess.

To everyone else we have to be at our best.

Here's hoping for the best.
I think we need a chant of Leaburn, Leaburn, Tracey Leaburn during the match.
