Are you sure the initial 2500 wasn't for the middle tires and the other 1500 are for the tires on the side of them?
Never been to Ashton Gate before so I'm genuinely asking.
Yeah, that kind of proves my point that we will sell out as there is roughly 250 left.
Have you been on the ticketing site recently?
This is a genuine comment BTW, so please correct me if I'm wrong

If we could be expected to sell the 4k, we would have been given the tickets, lack of demand meant we got less I assume.Char1t0n said:Braziliance said:Char1t0n said:

Plymouth took 3.4k last season. We will sell our or nearly sell out our initial allocation, had we sold out quicker, we would have got more tickets.
I am turning into a parrot now, but I find it disappointing after the season we just had and how good the team is, the demand isn't there. We should be fighting over these tickets imo, but hey ho3 -
I think we just need to accept that we are a not a massively followed team on the road. One thing for sure is we will make more noise than the 3100 Watford fans on Saturday and that’s what matters.Braziliance said:

I'm a little confused as to what you are saying. Is it possible that either Bristol or Charlton didn't want to put the initial 4500 on sale so we could sell out the middle blocks and then release any further tickets if there was demand for it, which clearly there was. If that away end is sold out on Saturday, will it matter how quickly they were sold, the main thing surely is that we sold out.
Once again, correct me if I've misunderstood your point, but, I think it's that Charlton should of request the 4k+ from the off, but do most club not request the initial allocation and then see how sale are before asking for more depending on demand. If this is the case, you've disproven your own point.0 -
Not saying you're right/wrong but simply adding context. Comparing against Plymouth at a different time of year, coming from a different place, different transport links etc. is not a helpful comparison.Braziliance said:

First game last season they played Millwall, about as close a comparison as you can make in terms of time of year and location, Millwall took 1,177.4 -
Agreed, the atmosphere will still be great, Watford were tame imo for a packed out away end.cafc_se7 said:

A few Bristol City fans also surprised we haven't sold out.
We can't all be on holidays surely. Wembley there was a demand, we are in the big time now, would be nice to show it and back the team who have been so good for us for so long.
If you are in a position where you can go, but you aren't, but you were one of the people demanding for a Wembley ticket, then I'll be blunt, you are in no position to talk. (If that doesn't apply to you or anyone reading this, then you shouldn't care)
My post obviously doesn't apply to people who can't go for valid reasons. Based on the demand for Wembley, first season back in the Champ, nice weather, Saturday 3pm kick off, and us spending a significant amount of money, the team should be backed.
As I always say, if this was Liverpool away or Man United, people would be asking for spares. It's just the truth.
Be interesting if we draw a big Premier league team in the cup and all of a sudden people will be more willing to go.
Just to be clear one more time. I am not telling anyone how to support this club. I am saying it's disappointing to not see better support.QPR tickets will be going on sale in the coming days and we’ll have an allocation of around 1,800. That thread will be an interesting read.

Feels a lot of needless posts here. We haven’t sold 3,000 or 4,000, we’ve sold just shy of the 2,500 we were initially given. If we sold all that looking at previous games there’s the possibility to increase up to 3,400. We haven’t so either the first few rows in the lower section are sheeted off, or the don’t utilise the corner blocks. Or both. We’ll have a great following for what should be a really intriguing game. Not sure what more needs to be said that hasn’t already done so16

Yeah tbh we normally would. I didn’t think we’d be able to attend as we’re up in Edinburgh for Oasis and the Fringe. Sunday evening I floated idea of going Celtic Friday night and driving down to Bristol on Sat morning. Shockingly the wife said yes but we were too late to get tickets from box office so hoping we can buy on day 👍🏼Char1t0n said:1 -

Pretty sure they can just re-print them in the same way that they would when they arrange duplicates when tickets don't arrive in the post etc.mart77 said:
