To stop the unwarranted negativity and whingeing like bitches?
How about I bring biscuits to the Sheff Wednesday game? That's what I used to give the dog when he whined and he soon cheered up after that.............
Perhaps we can moan about the biscuits instead. The commentators on Test Match Special always seem to have marvellous cakes and it seems to lift them no end if the match is a bit dull, uninspiring etc..
I saw bits and pieces of your game in the pub after our thrilling draw with Les-der.
And from what I saw you played some pretty good stuff in spells, Thomas particularly caught the eye and if the game had gone on for another 10 minutes I think he would have got you something.
There are very very few players in this division with his quality.
I personally think you'll hammer Sheff Wed , which will set things up nicely for the 1st.
I hope we do or else I get the feeling we could get branded as the yids of this division and I'd rather stab rusty cutlery than be compared to them in any way shape or form!
The trouble is, a lot of people believed the hype before the season started. I actually (as I said in another post) said I thought we would be midtable after all the changes, but now think we have a great chance to be in the top 8 with promotion next year. We are playing some good stuff, and once the players start to gel things will look so much better. I'll bring a flask of tea, if someone brings the digestives....last match before I go back to Oz for a month.
All biscuit needs should be catered for. Except Rich Tea. In my opinion the wimp of the biscuit world, especially when compared to a giant like the hob nob
where does all this mid-table talk stem from ? what justifies it ?
when was the last time a team relegated from the premiership, that wasn't going through a complete financial meltdown, not challenging for the Championship Championship the next season ?
If we fail to make the play-offs, as some people expect, then both Pardew and the players have seriously failed IMO.
If some people's expectations are too high, then equally some others are too low.
it's a really new exciting era for charlton pardew will lead us back into the promised land , he's just been unlucky these last 9 league matches , remember at the end of last term those 7 winless games were curbs and dowies fault , keep the faith WE ARE GOING UP
Afka...its just my opinion....we are re-building afterall...I do think expectations are too high, just trying to be realistic mate. I think we have the making of a good team incidentally.
Agree about the rich tea biccys too, they break up when you dunk them....nothing like a good dunking
It does make ya wonder when people in one breath call Spurs fans crazy for calling for Jol's head, then in next breath doing exactly the same at their own clubs! I not pointing fingers on here btw, its wat I heard from people over the weekend. What ever happend to patience? Is 3 games really enough? Crazy IMO!

Southampton, Derby, Coventry were all relatively stable financially I believe when relegated.
The players have the ability to gain promotion of that there is no doubt.
My concern though is do they have the consistency (Ambrose, JT etc have undoubted quality but are very inconsistent), the physical attributes (Saturday suggests possibly not the way our "hardman" central defender was exposed) and "Northern Bastard" factor i.e the sheer guts to go to the Stokes, Barnsleys etc and grind out a result. (jury still out).
The factors above are why I suggest that we will probably end up mid table.
If we don't go straight back up, we are in serious sh*t, new owners or not. We still have too much of a Prem structure, and the downward spiral starts here.
How about some Penguins, please, Carter -they're real biscuits? Or shall I bring some Tunnock's tea cakes, snowballs and caramel wafers down from Scotland??

I've seen very few posts that fall into that category, certainly not enough to warrant the outcry of the world's gone mad...
I've never seen someone eat so many in one day...
;-)
Amen
The worlds not gone mad, but the countries gone to the dogs, I tell thee!
I prefer Jaffa cakes
I ate two !!!
you should of been grateful, while my face was stuffed, i wasn't able to sing a long to the radio !
And three points would settle us all down eh?
