    Already discussed on another thread.

I think he is interested in investing, rather than buying. Millwall were granted a new 999 year lease last year. They also look like getting / have the green light on developing that land, plus The Den has been approved for redevelopment as part of the New Bermondsey scheme, with plans to take capacity up to 34,000. There’s also footing for a new tube station right next to the ground put in. All this needs money, but it is a great investment due to location etc.

Charlton mates laughed when I said if any club is due a revolutionary big money takeover / investment it is Millwall, because of all the above. An inner London club in sight of the Shard & Canary Wharf with a development opportunity to boot!

No. I’m just not tribalistic, as grew up watching both due to family. I used to help my nan with the pools in & around the Old Den, and my granddad used to take me. Just so happens dad is Charlton, so was made to go to The Valley (well, Selhurst & Upton Park at first) more. It’s funny to be accused of being Millwall, as the first football game I went to was Spurs, as I loved that team (1987) & went with best mate from Primary school whose dad was a fan. I get that posters on here will be very tribalistic, as it’s a Charlton forum. But I am Charlton, just more of a Charlton follower than fan(atic), with a big soft spot for Millwall & Spurs, and intense dislike of Palace! I guess I’m the ying to oohaahmortimer’s yang 😂

If we don’t go up, millwall get Saudi money and palace with the FA Cup, it will go down as a bad bad season for us.

Millwall told The New Arab that there "is no substance regarding any takeover talks", and stressed that "the club is not for sale" amid recent speculation of Saudi interest in the side.

The New Arab or Al-Araby Al-Jadeed is a London-based pan-Arab news outlet owned by Qatari company Fadaat Media.

Guy is a boxing promoter (surprise surprise).

I'm always dubious of Middle Eastern interest in EFL clubs, they've shown with Newcastle, Man City and PSG that they've no problem with buying a side in the top flight of a League, so why isnt this bloke putting his sights higher if he's another financial "real deal"

Previous ME backing in EFL clubs has seemingly ended badly, has there been an example where its gone well as Charlton and Wigan have suffered badly from it, whilst Milton Keynes are a case that remains to be seen. Am sure there are others I've forgotten.

So from a Millwall stand point, I'd take this news very cautiously.

As genuinely... Why the f**k would they be interested in Milwall, same can be said of us with ESI with hindsight

The worrying thing is that Turki is genuinely a massive sports fan. He might see it as a bit of a challenge, playing real life football manager. We know he is the real deal, he is basically the face of Saudi sports washing, the money he has poured into boxing is huge

Think he already owns Almeria in Spain so not someone with no football background either. But I absolutely get FAs point about ME ownership of EFL clubs being a bit of a double edged sword.

Would wonder how quickly Turki would get bored given all his other interests.

Even though it was a deliberate choice to write it this way? Also being fully aware of your so called poor comprehension? Incidentally it’s grammar on my part, the poor comprehension would be you not understanding.

just had a look on their board and it seems they've decided they don't want a saudi take over / investment as they will lose their identity  :D so think we can all relax

Maybe he's confused and after seeing all the pugilism happening at Millwank games, he thinks he's actually investing in amateur boxing in the UK?
