I thought Robibnson was the best coach in this division according to Robinson.

A couple of familiar names among the nominees.

The October nominations for the Sky Bet League One Manager of the Month Award are:

    Nathan Jones (Luton Town)

Thrills, spills, goals and points. Jones inspired his side to the lot in October. Fifteen and 15 points from six games, his side scored at least twice in each of their fixtures and proved themselves to be the division’s entertainers.

    Chris Powell (Southend United)

It is what we do in adversity which defines us. Powell steered Southend to 10 points from six games despite the blows of losing Harry Lennon to a broken leg, as well as Tom Hooper and Ben Coker to season-ending injuries.

    Mark Robins (Coventry City)

His side ended the month with five successive league wins, making light of the transition from League Two following promotion. Impressively, his side scored eight goals in winning away at Charlton, Southend and Bradford.

    Jack Ross (Sunderland)

Expectations on Wearside of a promotion challenge could have weighed heavily on Ross. Instead, the Scot is embracing the challenge and 13 points from five unbeaten games moved his side smoothly into third place.

Good that they are acknowledging mid table teams with lesser resources as well as those teams at the top.

"Southend's Harry Lennon broke his leg just 18 minutes into his first full comeback game from a fractured toe."

Jeez, he doesn't get any luck, does he?
    Get mended soon, Harry.

Charlton boss Lee Bowyer has been nominated for the Sky Bet League One Manager of the Month award for the third time this season.

The Addicks took 11 points from five games in January and Bowyer will be competing against Plymouth Argyle’s Derek Adams, Luton Town’s Mick Harford and Scunthorpe United’s Stuart McCall.

Yeah thats going to Mick Harford...

Be surprised if its anyone else as he's done really well to take over @ Luton and not touch a thing to damage their form

Give Manager of the Month to Nathan Jones instead. Harford's a charlatan, attempting to benefit personally from others' hard work!

Maybe so but I think thats the beauty of what Harford has done

I bet it would have been so easy for whoever took over to stamp their own style on the squad which would have probably (as every one predicted) blown up in their faces - Instead as he's mentioned in the interviews, there isnt really much that he needs to do because of the work Jones and the Players have already instilled in themselves

Congrats to Joe Pigott for being nominated, give it to him

Still isnt the Championship (where he got thrown in and ruined) but he's slowly recovering to realise his potential

15-League goals this term, wont be surprised if a team further up the League One ladder try and sign him

He was only ever appointed on a temporary basis to get them over the line for the season

So Luton have appointed a new manager but no name yet, maybe someone who has a contract until the end of season.

Anyone fearing it could be Bows in The Championship
