Reeves is clearly not fit and needs time and patience to bed in. So many people are quick to jump onto a player if they are not playing well when they first join us.
We are watching league one football, 80% of the players smash it up other players. Reeves need protection and will in my opinion come good.
He is a Charlton player after all, what went on in the summer is behind him.
Lets hope he is in the running for POTY.
Haven't laughed so much in years. In the POTY stakes he is likely to be at the back of the queue alongside KAG. Currently the top 5 (imo) are: Marshall, Fosu, Da Silva, Sarr, JFC.

Still think he doesn't do enough out of possession and cuts on to his left foot too much while his shots are rarely dangerous, being blocked or over.
When he moves the ball quickly he is far more effective. Also think he needs to be at the top of the diamond not wide.
Suspect he won't be here next season.
Aswell as having goals from midfield, his goals except Barnsley have all been important which will be worth a few points.
Agree 100% with your assessment, think he's underrated though, mostly because of the links to Robinson. He is a very good player and personally think a midfield of him Aribo, Cullen and Bielik brings better balance.
Good player who’s probably underperformed for us. The last two games he’s got into the box a bit more and he needs to keep doing that now we’ve not got KAG.
Slightly above average L1 player, who can't play more than half a dozen games without getting injured and is rarely capable of playing 90 mins without getting subbed.
With so many out of contract I'd probably offer Reeves a new two year deal. I think Bowyer can probably bring someone in who's better value though as Reeves is probably on a nice wage. But with so many players needed to sign / join it's probably just easier to re-sign Reeves than to find a replacement on a free.
Can't play him and Williams in the same team. One or the other. Bearing in mind their fragileness, that's good as one can do an hour, and the other 30 mins each game.
Yes, our best midfield is full of missers. You bring in some scorers and the midfield is weaker but our chances of scoring increase. Maybe we are best starting with the best players, then bringing in the scorers as and when required through substitutions.
Ben is a decent player,I think if he had a good injury free run we would see the best of him.As good as Cullen,Beilick,and williams are,they dont look like scoring ,while Reeves has popped up with some important goals.Certainly worth keeping whatever division we are in.
The change of position may explain some of the reduction in goals. That said, Reeves is on a good little run of goals now. 4 in 11 games starting from his goal at Barnsley (which ironically was a powerful volley from edge of the box).
Good player, and a clever football mind but question marks about whether there's enough end product, though recent goals are a positive sign. His set pieces have been very disappointing too.
Good player and is far more influential than people give him credit for. Assisted Taylor’s winner against Pompey and Taylor returned the favour on Tuesday night with a fantastic cross and diving header from Reeves. This is just within a game and a half.
He may cut in on his left, his shots may get blocked, his free kick against Blackpool was horrible, but overall, he is a very good player, has adapted his game tremendously well to play on the outside of the diamond. He works hard out of possession, he has good awareness, tracks back and has good defensive knowledge too. You won’t be seeing him making many tackles, but he’s the one tracking the run of a player which means that avenue is cut off.
Going forward he should have got more goals, no doubt, but you could say the same about most others. As most left footed players do, they much prefer the ball on the left, it’s not often you’ll find a left footed player very comfortable with their right, but you will often find it the other way around.
He is definitely someone I’d like to keep because he can make things happen and to be honest, with Cullen and Bielik only on loan, Aribo having a good possibility of not here either, Reeves would be one of our best players, and as much as this may get stick, Lapslie and Morgan are good but not ready for the first team, they’re not. We need players like Reeves and Forster-Caskey, considering both out of contract, we’ll find it hard to replace that.

If you rarely get in the box you won’t get many chances so you need to take them when they come along. If a midfielder regularly gets in the box chances will come and they don’t always have to be a great finisher to take them.

Spot on. If you look at someone like Lampard - yes he banged his fair share in from 20 yards, but he was renowned for being right place at the right time. That wasn't some sixth sense, he just kept gambling on being in the box and eventually he'd get lucky and the ball would drop to him - no one remembers the hundreds of time a player like that gets in the box but the ball just doesn't fall to them. He'd take lots of shots too, which meant he'd score a lot of deflected goals. Bowyer and Jacko know all about those kinds of skills because they both played that way too. It's why I get so frustrated that we don't get more crosses in earlier. Have players gamble on runs into the box and just toss it in there - defences at this level make lots of mistakes and you can score a lot of goals in that fashion.
After Aribo, Reeves looks our biggest goal threat from midfield.

Struggles for consistency
He causes trouble to defenders and is scoring more since Bowyer told him to get in the box and gamble.
Just accept that he’s a very decent player and we’re lucky to have him.

Does a lot of unnoticed work off the ball. Claus Jensen he isn't I agree but he puts in a shift, yep, he makes mistakes but this is League 1.
Id like to look at the points we have dropped when he was taken off the field as a sub, we tend to lose a bit of shape when he is subbed.
I'd 100% offer a contract regardless of division next year.
A decent enough player at league one level .
But under no circumstances should he be taking free kicks .
Has undoubted ability but is a bit lightweight - worth keeping for now given what's available on our budget.

If he doesnt like what we offer then I feel he'll go backwards down the league to one of the more mid-table teams
Its not like League teams were knocking on his door the year we signed him - Wasnt it just us and Bolton with an offer from Spain?
