Amos: 6.5 - Didn't have a lot of saves to make really. His distribution was not great, but he had a couple moments when he was very alert to deal with poor back passes. He had that terrible flap from their free kick, but then went on to make a couple good punches and catches afterward. I think I rate him higher than most, I think he brings a really assurance and intelligence to things.
Solly: 8 - Another really solid performance from him. He looked to get forward a bit more as well, and it resulted in a beautiful ball for the goal. Won a bunch of crucial headers and tackles.
DaSilva: 9 - Had McGlashan in his pocket. Such a good 1-v-1 defender. He used the ball really well too.
Bauer: 9 - The Ying to Pearce's Yang. He looked so calm and so assured, cut out crosses, won headers, defended well on the deck. He looks a player reborn.
Pearce: 9 - It's not always pretty, but it does often work. Seemed to be everywhere today.
Kashi: 7.5 - Not his best game but still did a good job of breaking up play and maintaining possession.
Holmes: 9 - MOTM He edges MOTM because of that wonderful goal and because he looks so dangerous and creates so much havoc.
Forster-Caskey: 6.5 Did the dirty work well. Had a lovely overhead kick in the first half. Quiet.
Clarke: 9 - How good is he? Always buzzing around, always taking up good positions off the ball, has a lovely technical ability, especially in tight spaces. A great run then a great ball to Holmes which lead to Holmes' goal.
Fosu-Henry: 7.5 - Didn't quite have the end product but he is so technically gifted and he works very hard.
Magennis: 8.5 Great goal. Great work rate. Showed some real skill at times. Switched to left wing and looked very good there as well. 3 goals in 4 league games.

DaSilva: 7.5 Lost it a couple of times but gave their right side no joy at all, lovely work down the wing too

Pearce: 8.5 MOM Barely noticed him except when he stopped them from scoring about five times
Kashi: 7.5 Sheer class. Probably a slight off-day for him
Holmes: 8 Ditto, really. Fantastic finish. His delivery was poor all game but his drive and work with the ball was excellent.
Forster-Caskey: 7.5 An absolute pain for any opposition. They seek him here...
Clarke: 8 Feels like he's been waiting for a team like this all his career. Finally, other people on his wavelength!
Fosu-Henry: 7.5 As assured with ball at feet as any Charlton player since the Premiership days. Might work on his finishing

Amos: 6 - Wasnt overly called upon but taking a mark off his performance for the poor decision just after it went 2-1... Southend should have scored from it!!
Solly: 8 - WHAT.A.CROSS!! - Great assist and showed everyone else how it should be done

Kashi: 7 - Blew hot and cold for me today, great few interceptions but think he struggles with the speed of the English game when on the ball at times
Forster-Caskey: 7 - Hate to say it but can only give him a low mark as didnt really notice him today
Holmes: 8 - But for his goal he'd have got the same marks as Fosu, Southend did well to contain him
Clarke: 8 - Not sure what he contribute??? He's the conductor in the team, the other nine outfield players his orchestra, he pulls the strings!!
Fosu: 7 - Determined to like him but does he like Clarke? - thankfully we got the second goal but for the third or fourth time since pre-season he's failed to pass to Clarke in a better position!!

Clarke: 8 sort of like Kashi but further up the pitch; great burst down the right for the pass from Fosu that didn't happen, no wonder he was annoyed
Fosu-Henry: 6 better facing the goal than receiving the ball with his back to goal but that shot instead of passing to Clarke was unforgivable
Magennis: 7.5 good header for the goal, always putting himself about and trying to make something happen; sending long balls for him to head is not the way play when there's generally no one near him to pick up the flick

Amos: 6 Unconvincing from crosses once again, not sure what that superman punch was about at one point.
Solly: 8 Good solid defensive performance from him, didn't have a direct opponent, Kightly tended to drift in. Some good passes and liked to get forward like the Solly of old. Great cross for the goal.
Pearce: 7.5 Great blocks and last ditch tackles, getting us out of trouble, particularly in the first half

Da Silva: 7.5 Came up against two tricky opponents who liked to go down the line, dealt with it all fairly well, strong in the tackle, very composed at bringing the ball out of defense.
JFC: 6 Game passed him by completely, thought their central midfield pair had the slight edge over ours.
Kashi: 6.5 Good tackles as always but a few more sloppy passes than normal. Particularly casual in the first half
Fosu: 6 Frustrating player, inconsistent and indecisive, can't get his head up either. Won't slate him too much as he's got a lot of quality on the ball and works hard.
Clarke: 8 MOTM. Runs the show for us, very technical, co-ordinated, intelligent and hard-working. Holmes may get all the longshots and the glory but this guy is the best on the team in my opinion.
Holmes: 7.5 Not his best game, but what a goal. Doesn't stopp running.
Josh: 7 Busy in the box as always and got an emphatic header but hold-up play and ball control leave a lot to be desired.
