  • Marks out of 10 please:

Pope - 5 handling and kicking poor
Charles-Cook - 7 tenacious . Impressed with him, given that he is evidently not a right back
Fox - 5 endless misplaced passes. I know it's unfashionable to criticise him but..
    Bauer - 7.5 so professional
Sarr- 7 potential is clear but I'd stick with Alou currently
Ceballos - 7 lots of skill- like a mini JBG
    Ba - 8 a class above
Jackson - 6.5 fairly Standard Jacko display. Nothing wrong at all
Bergdych- 7 faded but excellent in possession and a good goal
Watt - 7.5 Looks a bit wrong at the moment but a goal and an assist
Ahearne-Grant - 7 worked hard and could have had 2

Reza - 6 lightweight. 1 point for the goal . His on sight shooting still irritates
JBG- 7 always a class act

Ba - 7.5 superb pass for Reza's goal
    Jackson - 6.5
    Bergsich - 7
Watt - 7.5 - love the way he comes deep and then runs at the defence. Also great rapport with
fans in West Stand after the game (loads of photos and gave his shirt away)
    Ahearne-Grant - 7

Reza - 6.5 first contribution was to be 2 yards offside but took his goal well
Gudmundsson - 6.5 strange choice to bring on at 3-0

  • Pope - 6.5 Handling is poor but otherwise massive improvements made and feel comfortable with him in goal
Charles-Cook - 5 Seems to have some attacking flair but at right back his defence and strength need improvement
Fox - 6 made some good tackles and continues to improve but in reality offers very little on the ball
Bauer - 8 a rock in defence and very capable on the ball
Sarr - 6.5 did little wrong, capable defender

  • Pope - 5 Didn't have much to do and spilled at least 3 comfortable shots. Goal wasn't his fault mind.
Charles-Cook - 7 Impressed by him even though he seemed a little nervy in the first half, looks stronger than I would have thought
Fox - 6.5 Still not a huge fan although he did make some good runs forward
Bauer - 7.5 Great to have a trustworthy centre back in the side. A true professional.
Sarr - 6 Need to see more of him but I'd be more comfortable with Diarra playing there on Saturday.
Ceballos - 7 Looks like he's technically gifted but could've been more involved.
Ba - 8 Really like the look of him. Worked hard throughout the game, very strong and seems very creative.
Jackson - 6.5 Didn't put a foot wrong and I was glad to see he still has the free kicks in his locker.
Bergdych - 7.5 Looks like a great player. Agree with others that he looks more of a winger than a left back.
Watt - 8.5 For me he's the most exciting player we've had in years. Just brilliant.
Ahearne-Grant - 7.5 worked hard and took his goal well

Reza - 6.5 Can't really take him seriously but he got a goal I guess
Gudmundsson - 6 Ineffectual, not sure why we brought him on. But we all know what he's capable of and he wasn't needed this evening.

Pope - 5. Hoped he had turned a corner on Saturday but looked shaky tonight. Four shots to save and none of them stuck and one near disaster with a fumble he only just got away with.

Charles-Cook - 7. Solid. A bit lightweight but I like the look of him. Not ready for a permanent slot by any means but will be ok in an emergency.

Fox - 7. very prominent in attack, especially first half but crossing consistently poor.

Bauer - 7. Very impressive. Calm and assured on the ball. Won't be proud of their goal though as something went badly wrong in the e centre of defence.

Sarr 7. - as Bauer. Impressive touch for a big guy. A few misplaced passes but promising first appearance.

Ceballos - 6. Flattered to deceive a bit. Clearly skilful and has vision. Just didn't use either as much as he could have done. Booked for a crazy tackle. Jury out for me.

Ba - 7. Controlled the midfield. Much more impressive than on Saturday admittedly against inferior opposition. Highly promising.

Jackson - 6.5. Typical Jacko performance. Barely noticed him but kinda reassuring to have him there.

Bergsich - 6. A little disappointing after Saturdays cameo but scored and occasionally looked dangerous. Another I have hopes for.

Watt - somebody said it earlier. Doesn't look right but game changer. Luzon's biggest challenge and our greatest threat. Took a lot of punishment tonight but just kept getting up for more. Goal was all his own work.

Ahearne-Grant - 6.5 Played very confidently I thought. Good goal. Could have had more. Good to see. Not ready for first team yet IMHO but encouraging display.

Reza - 7. Scored, dived, ran around a lot. Very useful squad player if he can be arsed.

Gudmundsson - 7. Class. No idea why it was worth risking him when we were 3-0 up though.

    Holmes-Dennis n/a

  • Pope - 6.5 not a lot to do. Goal wasn't his fault. The ball was wet so will give him the benefit of the doubt with a couple of fumbles.
Charles-Cook - 6.5 decent. Not a RB but potential is there. Got lost at times but glad to see him play
Fox - 6.5 professional display. Some misplaced passes but nothing costly.
Bauer - 7.5 solid. Professional display
Sarr - 6.5 will do well I think - big lump but rusty.
    Ceballos - 6.5 - looks skilful. Promising.
Ba - 7 good in the middle. Hit the crossbar
Jackson - 7 seemed to dictate play off the ball more than get involved on it. Again, unlucky as he hit the cross bar
Bergsich - 7 took his goal well. Seemed solid and confident
Watt - 7 very skilful. Took his goal well. Was targeted by the opposition a lot so surprised he came back out in the second half
Ahearne-Grant - 7.5 very good. Scored one and could've got more. That goal will give him a boost

Reza - 6.5 neat finish. Was rusty but seemed happy to be playing
Gudmundsson - 6.5 surprised to see him come on tbh.
Holmes-Dennis n/a glad to see him make his debut

It was just a professional perfemance. It's so easy to lose these kind of matches due to players switching off.
  • Pope - 6 Started off looking good & confident. But when he had to make a couple of saves he fumbled & looked shaky. Luckily he grabbed one he spilled, otherwise ..............
Charles-Cook - 6 Decent game, I wouldn't have known he was from the academy, looked confident & steady.
Fox - 7.5 Thought he was our best player 1st half & did well 2nd half. Very well played Morgan. MOM
    Bauer - 7 Very assured.
    Sarr - 6.5 Very decent 1st game.
Ceballos - 6 I didn't realise he was playing for 30 mins, until he was booked. Did ok.
    Ba - 6.5 Decent game.
    Jackson - 6 Did ok.
    Bergdich - 6.5 Decent game.
Watt - 7 Good game, possibly MOM, but I'll give to Fox, because he deserves some recognition.
Ahearne-Grant - 6.5 I thought he did better than Saturday. A decent game.

Reza - 6.5 Took his goal well, looked lively & interested. One pathetic dive for a penalty appeal.
    Gudmundsson - 6 Didn't really do much.

    .

  • Pope - 6 didn't look too comfortable tonight, spilled a few into dangerous areas.
Charles-Cook - 7 looks decent back up at RB.
Fox - 7 up against a good winger (Jones who we are supposedly in for) and did well.
Bauer - 8.5 this guy is class, a proper centre back who is also very comfortable on the ball.
Sarr - 7 looks a tank, a few dodgy moments but overall decent.
Ceballos - 8 looks a threat on the ball and also tracked back well.
Ba - 8.5 was everywhere, all action performance.
Jackson - 6 looked anonymous tonight other than a great freekick that hit the bar.
Bergsich - 7 took his goal well but not sure he is a winger, may be better as an attacking full back.
Watt - 9 ran the show once again, this guy is mustard.
Ahearne-Grant - 7 worked hard and took his goal well, lost possession quite a lot but always available

Reza - 7 classy finish and looked dangerous but again gave away possession too much, needs to stop diving.
Gudmundsson - 7 didn't see enough of the ball but a few touches of class.

Bauer - 9 What a superb player this bloke is. I don't think it is in his DNA to make a mistake.
    Sarr - 7
Ceballos - 6.5 Looks like a tricky player and did well to set up the 2nd goal. Could do with a few more kgs of muscle on him though.
    Ba - 7.5
Jackson - 6 Jacko did look tired. Shouted a lot though which I like.
    Bergdich - 6
Watt - 9 Premier league player
    Ahearne-Grant - 7

Reza - 5 Gave the ball away and dived which I hate. Pathetic against league 2 opposition too. Good finish but he'd never get that chance in a league game. Ba's ball to him was exceptional.

  • Pope - 6 Great header ! but has weakness with shots low and close to his body.
Charles-Cook - 6.5 Did ok but no way is he a Right back, has talent thou.
Fox -7.5 attacks more than Wiggins LOL.
Bauer -8 the guy is so smooth, great signing.
Sarr - 7 give him time, good game to make debut,
Ceballos-7 the skinny boy got skill, some good passing at times.
Ba -7 superb shot that hit crossbar, coming on nicely
Jackson - 6 great shouting but looked hard work for JJ tonight.
Bergdich - 7 nice finish, another new player with skill,
Watt - 8 magic feet Tony, but must listen to guy and not be a naughty boy
Ahearne-Grant -7 the boy is 17, he can only get stronger and keep improving.

Reza - 6.5 Lovely ball from ba for goal, finished well, interesting ?
Gudmundsson -7 had a little run out, whats wrong with that ?
  • Pope - Still seemed nervy tonight to me, kept spilling the low balls but got on top of them quickly so no harm done. 6
Charles-Cook - Very quick, thought he showed glimpses of brilliance going forward and had a very respectable debut out of position at rightback. 7
Fox - Had his best game in a Charlton shirt in my opinion, he finally showed that he can be a full back and thought he attacked very well, both his passing and ability to take on a man were impressive. 8.5
Bauer - Absolutely solid, both defensively and passing, looks like he'll be a contender for player of the year if he continues like this. 8
Sarr - Respectable debut, shakey earlier on but grew into the game and showed that he is very confident with the ball and fairly quick for someone so tall. 7.5
Ceballos - didn't notice him much to be honest but his assist for the second goal was good and he was stronger than I expected him to be and made the odd tackle. 7
Ba - Another very strong presence in midfield, his pass for Reza's goal was sublime. 7.5
Jackson - Again didn't notice him all that much but seemed to do the simple things well enough. 7
Bergdich - Good finish and looks decent going forward, both passing and beating the defender. 7.5
Watt - Great goal, was always a threat with the ball as ever, came very deep to get the ball at times. 8
Ahearne-Grant - Took his goal well and was generally lively 7.5
Reza - Decent goal, didn't do much else but what else do you want from a forward? 7
    Gudmundsson - Decent performance 7
  • Pope - 6.5: a quiet evening. A couple of low shots weren't taken cleanly on a greasy surface but I think he's going to be fine.
Charles-Cook - 6.5: a very sound debut. Out of position but did a good job for the team and we'll be seeing more of this lad as the season progresses.
Fox - 7: really assured and is now looking that he really belongs in this team. He put in a superb double tackle mid-way through the first half, as well as some very intelligent crosses, which unfortunately his team mates didn't anticipate.
Bauer - 8: looks a really fine player - looking forward to him crossing swords with Chris Martin and perhaps Benty on Saturday to see how he responds. I think we have a player on our hands.
Sarr - 6.5: a little tentative at the start but grew into the game and looked decent, albeit against tepid opponents. Looks to play the ball out from the back.
Ceballos - 6: tricky but, aside from a very good cross for the second goal, not too much came off for him. A useful game to help him bed in but I wonder if the physicality of the Championship might be an issue for him.
Ba - 7: very sound and got stronger as the game went on, which is encouraging, given his dearth of games over the last few years.
Jackson - 6.5: held things together nicely until he tired late on, which was unsurprising given his pre-season. One excellent free kick against the bar. JJ doesn't really fit in with Luzon's high-tempo, pressing style of midfield play but we'll certainly need him as the season progresses.
Bergdich - 6: did ok and showed some nice touches, as well as getting on the scoresheet.
Watt - 8.5: the best player on the field.
Ahearne-Grant - 7: a good performance and delighted for him to open his account. I expect to see him used fairly regularly as an impact sub.

Reza - 6: a nice finish for the final goal.
Gudmundsson - 6.5: game over by the time he joined the fray.
