    I live on Burnt Ash Road and yeah it is true about Sainsburys and Wetherspoons.

    Lewisham McDonald's was one of the first places to get damamged. I drove past paddy Power in Lewisham and it was all boarded up.

    Quick update on Bromley. The rumours of rioting are unfounded at the moment. Still just a heavy police presence. The area most likely to be affected in the North up near East Street. Not able to find any evidence at the moment but I will keep looking.

    Shouldn't there just be an announcement that you either get off the streets now and go home or face the consequences. Then, wherever there is a disturbance, the Police can go in and do those responsible some real damage. Scumbags the lot of them. 

    And how stupid are some of them, one just quizzed on TV said she was looting 'to get my taxes back'. Don't you realise you imbicile that it is going to take even more of your taxes to pay for the damage caused.

    There were a few sirens about an hour ago, but nothing much since. Suspect this one is mostly hype.
    Oops. May have spoken too soon. Sirens have just started going mental again.

    Unfortunately lots of sirens around my way (New Eltham) now at the moment and what seems to be a police helicopter hovering in the Eltham area.
    I've heard a lot of sirens here in Eltham in the past 15 minutes, sounds like something might be going on.
    Any updates please....with exception of my fireman bruv (Beckenham) and one of my sisters in Mottingham.....the rest of my bruvs/sis/mum live Eltham, Woolwich, NewEltham and Sidcup.

    Bexleyheath Fireboys are still sitting on station as I haven't heard them go out yet (unless they went out without lights etc).

    Poor quality video that shows what is happening in North Bromley. Heavy police presence, not sure whether there is looting but NO fires...

    redm, i wouldn't worry about new eltham and sidcup. Think all the troubles have largely been elsewhere. It will settle down in the suburban areas now the later it gets. Might not be the same story in some of the inner london places though.
