If this continues I am sure that normal people will fight back against the vermin and it will get very messy. It is pretty much against the Police and retailers at the minute, but how long before they take a fancy to robbing residential homes - the US Bill of Rights declared peoples 'right to keep and bear arms' may come into force, if you get my drift.... Lets face it the Police won't stop them.
This is it... when they get bored/run out of the shops, having got away scot free......
Sadly, it looks like we now are reaping what has been sown by years of political correctness and a generation told all about their rights and nothing of their responsibilities.....however, let's not descend into division within our wider community.
Why? At the Valley on Saturday, I noticed two things:
1. There were a lot of non-white faces, which I saw as very positive thing as it meant that the club has managed to successfully reach out to the community within which it exists....and everyone was happy and content and getting on very well indeed - as it should be.
2. Whatever anyone says (and despite a few depressing recent incidents), Charlton still have the most civilised set of football fans anywhere. FACT.
These two things highlighted something in light of recent events (for me), namely:
1. The black community unfortunately has a significant element that subscribe to a horrible, destructive, macho culture that only brings crime, violenceand misery - the white community does too, of course, but it is a much smaller proportion of it as a whole, so the perception of that fact reflects very badly on the black community overall.
2. BUT this group only represent a minority of black people and the vast majority are decent people who are just as sick of them (if not more, as they are tired of being tarred with the same brush) as the rest of society. The people on the streets tonight are not representative of the black community, they are just criminal scum, pure and simple.
Apologies if you find the above controversial, but a black man saying it surely has to mean something.
Anyway....stick together Charlton fans, whatever your colour. As a club, I honestly think that we are a role model for how society could be and are a positive force in London. Hopefully, soon all the shit that has happened recently will be a distant memory and we can get back to normal.....and the scum that are responsible will be behind bars. Anyone making any apology for them wants to take a long, hard look at themselves, this is thieving criminality, pure and simple. Nothing more, nothing less.
Anyway, the most important thing is people and not property. My thoughts are with everyone affected by this madness. I hope that you and your loved ones stay safe.
On radio FiveLive, Opposition Justice minister Sadiq Khan has just appealed for all moslems going to and from the mosque during ramadam to go about their business calmly and not to get involved in any bad behaviour .. that's alright then
The big difference of the 1980s riots and this one now is mobile communications. Social Networking is making this spread like crazy. Its incredibly dangerous.
That's a shame. Though with any luck by the time the useless, ineffective toffee-nosed Eton c*** gets back it will have spread to deepest rural Oxfordshire and he can experience it first-hand.
It'll be just like the good old days in the Bullingdon club for him where they used to trash restaurants -but back then the trust fund would pay for the damages.
I think it is RM - Mart wouldn't tweet it if not true I doubt.
Oh shit....thanks.....I'll try and contact family...if it moves further to New Eltham/Sidcup that's where my elderly mum lives.....I will need to know.
the trouble is four or five little fuckers after a puff or a drink can go and start a fire and get hero status amongst their peers, ....., the whole thing is getting out of control .. the RIOT ACT needs to be read and a curfew imposed
A load of people (400) on Green Street have now congregated to chase away any potential rioters/looters from local business according to Twitter. This is how it starts...
Can't these social networking sites be closed temporarily? Perhaps close down the mobile networks in London for a while so they can't communicate with each other. It seems that a large part is down to the ease with which these scum can communicate about where to go to next.

I'm worried for this country right now.
