I live literally right on Lewisham high street. Bottom of Belmont Hill. Just went outside. Stuff being thrown at police, people attacking random cars, and a lot of kids and young men (teens and 20s) milling around, waiting for it to go off. The bus lane road is blocked off by a line of police but there just arent enough of them to control this many people intent on trouble. Not looking forward to tonight here. Seeing hoodies running down the road towards the high street. the crowds growing not dispersing.

I just had to walk away from the TV before I put my boot through it. Person on Press TV (Sky 515) saying ...'and we must have sympathy for these dis-advantaged people who have been let down by the education system and the police whose actions in Tottenham were responsible for what's happening.....they are not criminals...' etc. etc. All that stuff whilst the screen showed that motor going up in flames. Unbelievable!!!0
