I now realise that he reminds me a bit of Nobby Solano which can't be a bad thing. I can understand why some of you are saying calm down, but my sophisticated response is simply...nuts ! I'm an old timer, and we are always getting carried away.

Really like this kid, think he could be something special, hope he's used wisely this season.
  • Walked around the pitch last night at Bromley with 1 boot off , hope its not too serious , looks a livewire.

He is promising.. Probably going to be used in the reserves and if he continues to play well short stints in the first team could happen depending on how the midfield is fairing.

Btw Fabregas was actually going to sign for charlton before he went to Arsenal and was taking tour around stadium before his agent got a call saying Arsenal wanted him.
     Pretty bollucks really!

Jeez, only been here a few weeks and he's already learnt to develop an innocuous injury in the run up to a millawall game...

I'm sure that was Flamini, definitely wouldn't have been Fabregas.

Fabregas was going to leave Barca for Charlton ?

Fabregas was 15.. Barca wouldnt of let him go if they thought he was going to turn out the way he has, hence why now they are bidding 35 mil for him...

Absolute, utter pants. Fabregas was no nearer to signing a contract for Charlton than I was. Either you've confused him with Flamini (who we were definitely looking at) or someone is winding you up

It was definitely Flamini. I remember Curbs talking about how gutted he was when we missed out.

As others have said there is probably some confusion between Fabregas and Flamini.

Don't worry, it happens all the time.

    You're not a real lifer until you've started a thread that's gone totally off topic : - )

We were also supposedly scouting Drogba at the start of the great season he had for Marseille. Unfortunately because he had such a great season his price trebbled and Chelsea bought him instead. And Chalsea nicked Gudjohnsen off us.

If it wasn't for Chelsea we could have had Parker, Jensen, Gudjohnsen and Drogba in the same team. That would have been pretty bloody tasty.
