On a free, yeah great, money paid to Ipswich for him absolutely not. I might be wrong but because of the agents being in America for the world cup, I would have thought most clubs would like to get their summer business done early, so this one might have some legs, also, if Clarke were to sign we could spend the summer teaching him some finishing skills.

I get the impression that he'll want to move to  a  bigger club than come back to us
Would be surprised if that was the case it’s not like he’s light years above our level only thing he may want is more money than we can offe
  • Just because he’s on a free doesn’t mean it’s a given we’d get him. I’d imagine he’s on much more money than the rest of our squad for someone of his age and experience. He’ll want to keep it that way. If Carter is saying we’ll only be mid table on wages in three years time I can’t see how we’d could compete with the majority of the teams in this league.

Did he raise his arms before she said yes?

Turns out he didn't hand her the ring, he threw it at her finger at pace and landed it right on the ringer finger. Great throw on that lad

I hope for his sake he doesn't introduce her to Sonny Carey.

Is it just me or do a lot of footballers go out with former Love Island contestants

I don't know why you're so surprised. This is what both sides want in their lives. It's practically a bespoke dating service

I like Clarke and hope we sign him. But he’ll have plenty of other suitors willing to pay him more money. Don’t think he’ll end up coming to us.
You obvs didn't listen to Carter

After a fee I suppose, unsure if we'd pay it

That’s Bree and Clarke who are now not available who we could’ve conceivably got on a free. Hope Chapple’s got a rabbit to pull out the hat for rwb.

Don't think it was conceivable considering we were competing against Premier League Budgets (clubs with parachute payments).

Even if we offered them a contract, which knowing Jones he would of preferred them on a contracted basis rather than a loan, then their parent clubs of beaten that wage.

Still think we might sign him, as long as the fee is £1m or less

I’m not sure we will sign him. His wage demands would be those of a first choice starter, and I think we will be looking for something different as first choice RWB, a bit more pace and 1v1 ability than Clarke has to offer

If Ramsay is sold then I could then see us signing Clarke as a replacement that can cover RCB and RWB to a good level like Ramsay can

One that I'm on the fence about. If the fee wasn't silly I could see it happening. But I can also see the argument for wanting someone that can give us a bit more pace in the final third.

I assume his contract includes a clause that will increase his salary upon Ipswich’s promotion back to the PL, which makes him completely unaffordable for us.

I don't see why Ipswich would suddenly see the light with Clarke after loaning him out to us last season, and now being Prem bound, no the whole options thing is to get a fee, and I expect him gone this window, now whether its us or not is questionable, but would love him back with us on a perm if possible...
