New Street hill in Bromley was like the Cresta run earlier.
I think you exaggerate a tad - I live just round the corner & this morning it was little more than a dusting. Grant you the Golf course was shut but that was more to do with frozen greens than anything else.

We’ve had about 10-15 cm settle here in Vendée in the west of France. I’ve been living in Vendée since 2010 and never seen more than a light dusting before, the last time of which being Christmas Day just gone.

just stopped - been snowing for about an hour in Sidcup
  • And just stopped in Woolwich Dockyard too.
As a summer child, I have to say I'm not a fan.

Haha more settled than normal though, usually it snows here and melts before it even hits the pavement

Hope trains are fine going home.

Still look fondly on the pre-contactless cash days where me and @DaveMehmet train got taken out of service at Hither Green in the snow. Though he had no wallet with him that day, if I was happy to buy him a pint he suggested we go to the pub for one to warm up. Five pints later he’s suggesting cabs to curry houses etc 🤣

Remember it well mate, although I did have my cards with me. Couldn't believe they wouldn't do cashback in the pub (at least that's what I told you)!

Have to "lol" at this. Evetyone getting all excited that some snow "settled" in parts of S.E. London, Kent & Surrey......whereas in Aberdeen it has snowed every day since the New Year & is a few feet deep.

Wake me up when we actually get proper snow that is here for days.

This will be the time I would just sleep. Can't stand snow that stays for longer than a couple of days. It's a pain and how they can deal with it in places like Aberdeen where it lasts for weeks I have no idea.

Of course, when we finally get heavy precipitation this evening the temperature has lifted and its falling as rain.
