The prize task was excellent. The recorded tasks weren't great but Maisie and Sam were great. John Robins probably just not really suited to Taskmaster, he was pretty dull

Genuine belly laughs at this episode, I think the prize task was probably the funniest yet

I think the problem with John is that he spent his entire series trying to find every little loophole and trick that Alex could come up with , realised that wasn't really good TV and reined it back it too far the other way.
  • Enjoyed the "Justice for Pidgeor" logo on the cricket top.

amazing prize task. they've put the 'uncut' version on youtube which is 25 minutes long though apparently it is still heavily cut and it took over an hour in the studio

    Really enjoyed NYT episode 1.

Rose's sign language lady getting the giggles during the tasks added to it too!!

Honestly I could watch a whole series with that NYT lineup.

New lineup is a bit meh to me. Only Armando Iannucci really interests me.

    Kumail Nanjiani

for those who don't know the s21 lineup

I'd seen the same rumour - find the 4th one really annoying normally!!  Hopefully works in the format - there has been some contestants before I hadn't liked on other stuff who won me round!
Now it's been announced... Joel Dommett.  I find Joel Dommett really annoying.

Agreed.  Interesting there are only 2 pure ‘stand up’ comedians on the next series (dommet, gledhill). Wonder if this is a sign of things to come.

Whilst comedic actors are good in the mix, they are rarely the highlight of the series.

Yeah I can't stand Dommett either. Joanna Page feels like she should have been on about series 5 , I don't know much about Kumail because I haven't seen Silicon Valley or The Big Sick. Think I've seen clips of Amy on things

Armando is the standout , think he might be another like Pemberton and Shearsmith where his creativity shines but he flops on everything else.

I like Joanna Page but she talks so loudly when she is being herself, it could become very irritating.

Iannucci I can see following a similar route to Victoria Coren Mitchell - clearly very smart but baffled/thrown off by the nature of TM and the whims of Greg scoring.

Three stand ups, Kumail was a stand up before anything else

Big Zu should be on a full series. It felt like Susie may not have enjoyed it. She seemed a bit stressed.

For thd new series, Joel Dommett does really awful TV shows but he's actually quite funny and weird when he's being himself. He's episode of Off Menu was very funny. Armando is an interesting choice

There’s only one winner if there is a task about knocking one out in front of a web-cam.

Was listening to the taskmaster podcast whilst walking home,.and had to stop in the street to laugh my arse off when Sam Ryder was talking about the air bed challenge. I probably looked insane

Wasn't sure where to put this but was at Mike Wozniak's live show in Walthamstow just noe

If anyone listened to his superb St.Elwicks podcast, its quite similar to that. His show was very good at times but other times it slightly dragged. His crowd work is superb though

Sam Campbell was sat the row behind us, my wife said hi and he smiled awkwardly.

We saw Mike pottering about a couple hours before the show but we didn't want to bother him.

Also saw Rosie Jones who was sat opposite us in a cafe, she was wearing headphones so let her be too
