What's the point of leaving the top tier sections empty. Do they have olympian shot putters in their mob?Chris_from_Sidcup said:
It does but lots of seats will be blocked off. Below is when Southampton went there a few weeks ago.kinveachyaddick said:That end holds more than 3000 across the two tiers though
Last time at the Valley, they all looked over 60, with a BMI in the richter scale and three teeth between them...3 -
Tickets bought. My first time back since the Christian Dailly 4-0 drubbing. Said that day I’d never return and I’ve stuck to it, but Jnr wants for Xmas to experience the despair of feeling pissed off for a good 4-6 weeks following a game, so this feels ideal.17

It's probably cheaper than taking him to London zoo. He'll love looking at the wildlife.AFKABartram said:Tickets bought. My first time back since the Christian Dailly 4-0 drubbing. Best to get that level of misery in early as a Charlton fan.AFKABartram said:Tickets bought. My first time back since the Christian Dailly 4-0 drubbing. Don't like going there. I swore I'd stop after we next beat them.
Looks like I'm committed for life

Pretty hard to look forward to this one, but after so much pain and misery there in the last 15 years I can’t bear the thought of not being in that away end when we finally win. You have to go.7

I was there last time we beat them in the snow and haven't been since maybe its my fault.
Ill get a ticket8 -
That's the problem. And I resent shelling out 36 quid plus fees. But can't take the risk of a freak win for us.Neil_Heaney said:Pretty hard to look forward to this one, but after so much pain and misery there in the last 15 years I can’t bear the thought of not being in that away end when we finally win. The only solution is to lump on a home win to quell some of the pain at the final whistle when we're head in hands, the whole zoo is chanting 'You'll never beat Millwall', and we kept in the pissing rain for the best part of an hour.5 -

Typical my phase for Millwall clashes with the Chelsea 100 points phase so I’m stuck in a queue0

No matter how much bad luck we have against them, we show up and support our team there time and time again - as fans, that is all we can do. This latest run will be broken at some point, why not this year? I'd be more nervous if i were them. The only thing they have is their record against us. When that goes, what have they got? They were a bit scary back in the day but now? I see them as a club that's overachieved for a while but ultimately always falls away at the business end of the season. Fair play, they get every inch out of what they've got but to be in the top 6 with a a minus 4 goal difference is going to tell soon, even if their big summer striker signing might come back from injury - forget his name, good at laying the ball backwards, not much else.9

We've all got tickets.
Imagine being the one who didn't go if we ever win there again.2 -
And that what’s draws us in, we are that stupid, I’ll be there.Covered End said:

Don’t blame yourself - I was there in the snow and have been to every game there bar the 4-0 since - the more you go, the worse it gets, trust me - last time out was nabby sarr not jumping in the last minute - we’ve found many ways to conjure a defeat out of nothing over thereGreenhithe said:I was there last time we beat them in the snow and haven't been since maybe its my fault.

Ill get a ticketLast time out it was the baffling substitution of Darren Pratley that did it for us. The midfield evaporated the moment he went off and we basically invited them onto us.1 -
Got my tickets for the alternative London Zoo a rare chance to observe the primeval apes of SE London in their natural habitat. Been a few years since I’ve been to The Den, so I’m genuinely excited. Few experiences compare to a visit to Millwall, followed by the traditional 45-minute post-match containment period, where everyone is gently herded back toward to South Bermondsey then onto London Bridge like a lost tribe.
It’s always fascinating how, just four miles separates us, but time appears to have stood still in The Den. Somewhere between New Cross and the Thames marshes, Neanderthal Man lives on communicating exclusively in grunts, chants, and singing without any trace of irony "No One Likes us we don't Care"
A pleasure as always. Educational. Anthropological. Like Attenborough I once saw the infamous & lost tribe called "Treatment' with their surgical masks and an encounter with the infamous Bushwackers when they paid a visit to The Valley when Spurs played us at The Valley in 1977. Looking fwd to seeing if a new sub species has evolved in this part of SE London and won't it be nice to finally get a victory over Millwall, well there is more chance of the former than getting 3pts over our neighbours.

Greenwich might the have the meridian, but Deptford Creek is definitely the border to where the land that time forgot.TootingRedArmy said:Got my tickets for the alternative London Zoo a rare chance to observe the primeval apes of SE London in their natural habitat. Growing up in Greenwich, late 50's, early 60's we were told we could play on the shore, row out to the barges but could not cross Deptford creek or go to Woolwich.guinnessaddick said:

The Dog and Bell is a great pub but I always hesitate about crossing the creek to go there.2

Lots of moustaches and mullets in both these days.0 -
Terrible record there, current form, injuries, local derby, playing them, 12:30pm kick off, on TV, being held back at full time, travel issues and likely many more reasons on top why this probably makes general sale.AFKABartram said:

Only thing putting me off is the hassle of it all. Don't think I've missed a defeat there for ages and was there in the snow the last time we won. Still under consideration.MartinCAFC said:

Average attendance at the toolbox 16,416 vs capacity 20,146 means your ground is only about 80% sold so far this season. Bit of a myth this whole selling out most Saturday games you’ve not sold it out once this season so far?MillwallFan said:
Unless it was a midweek game then you wouldn’t have seen whole areas ‘virtually empty’. We’re selling out most Saturday games this season or coming within a few hundred of doing so. Midweek games, the ground is much less populated.DOUCHER said:I've noticed on tv this season that the main 'gesticulation' (throat slitting, nescafe etc) section at millwall (to our left when we're there) is virtually empty for most games, including the lower bit where bouncy man performs - do they all shift round there from other parts of the ground for certain games or are they characters who only turn up for certain games for a bit of hand action?3
