Millwall [a] Tickets to go on restricted sale

That end holds more than 3000 across the two tiers though0

Side blocks are closed, as is the first few rows of the lower deckkinveachyaddick said:That end holds more than 3000 across the two tiers though1 -
Credit is due to Millwall. All of the seats went on sale at once. This is the first time this has been possible for an away game this season.
It's also only the second time that premium seats have been on sale in phase 1 (the other being Bristol City).
I bought all of my January aways at once to avoid paying multiple booking fees, but I will have to call the ticket office to have my seats changed at Blackburn and Leicester once the better blocks open up.0 -
Maybe i should have made it a question rather than a statement. Does anyone know whether this is permissible? (or is it just no-one cares at the creeping increase in prices?)swords_alive said:Too expensive. Also we charged £30 (lower) and £35 (upper) I believe and they have exceeded that.0 -
From memory it's permissible as long as they charge home fans the same for 'equivalent' seats. I don't think what we charge their fans comes into it4

Correct.ateamofcorygibbs said:From memory it's permissible as long as they charge home fans the same for 'equivalent' seats. I don't think what we charge their fans comes into it0 -
Thanks, but our equivalent seats were cheaper, i.e. Covered end behind the goal, and Jimmy Seed, cheaper than what we are being asked for behind one of their goals. I am yet to be convinced tbh.ateamofcorygibbs said:From memory it's permissible as long as they charge home fans the same for 'equivalent' seats. I don't think what we charge their fans comes into itYou don't compare grounds, you compare seats within a ground. Millwall can charge us no more than they charge their home fans in equivalent seats - e.g. what they charge their own fans in the upper tier of the home end is what they can charge us in the upper tier of the away end as they are equivalent seats.EFL rule 35.3.8
No Club shall charge higher admission prices for visiting supporters for accommodation that is ranked as comparable with or inferior to that used by supporters of the Home Club in the same or next highest ranked accommodation. What we charged Millwall at The Valley is neither here nor there.

I've noticed on tv this season that the main 'gesticulation' (throat slitting, nescafe etc) section at millwall (to our left when we're there) is virtually empty for most games, including the lower bit where bouncy man performs - do they all shift round there from other parts of the ground for certain games or are they characters who only turn up for certain games for a bit of hand action?2
-
I didn't know that was going to be on offer!DOUCHER said:I've noticed on tv this season that the main 'gesticulation' (throat slitting, nescafe etc) section at millwall (to our left when we're there) is virtually empty for most games, including the lower bit where bouncy man performs - do they all shift round there from other parts of the ground for certain games or are they characters who only turn up for certain games for a bit of hand action?3 -
It does but lots of seats will be blocked off. Below is when Southampton went there a few weeks ago.kinveachyaddick said:That end holds more than 3000 across the two tiers though

Unless it was a midweek game then you wouldn’t have seen whole areas ‘virtually empty’. We’re selling out most Saturday games this season or coming within a few hundred of doing so. Midweek games, the ground is much less populated.DOUCHER said:I've noticed on tv this season that the main 'gesticulation' (throat slitting, nescafe etc) section at millwall (to our left when we're there) is virtually empty for most games, including the lower bit where bouncy man performs - do they all shift round there from other parts of the ground for certain games or are they characters who only turn up for certain games for a bit of hand action?5 -

I put that down to the 7pm curfews.

Just out of curiosity, how do your midweek crowds compare to your weekend games? Actual bums on seats I mean.ElfsborgAddick said:MillwallFan said:

My mate just bought his 2 tickets.
There was no option to choose a delivery method, so he's no idea if it's post or collect.
Has anyone ever encountered a worse ticketing system?0 -
Our midweek games are badly attended, about 5,000 fewer fans turning up.MillwallFan said:

Ah right, very similar to us then. I would say probably for the same reasons. A large chunk of our respective fanbases have moved away from the area. Getting back home at a reasonable time when there’s work/school the next day will be an issue. Our midweek attendances are usually a bit better during school holidays when people don’t have to worry about getting their children back at a sensible time.clive said:

There was some nonsense about you having the most local fanbase in the country, definitely not the case.MillwallFan said:

I’ve never said that personally. I do think the majority of our fans still live in the London boroughs, but a big chunk have obviously moved out. And it’s big enough to have an impact on our midweek attendances.Friend Or Defoe said:

i think the ability to watch every game on a dodgy stick has hit the midweek games pretty badly0
