Will the lights last the full 90 minutes...
Maybe someone could find the off switch and we could all have an early night...😉

Bob Munro, you know what you have to do

Leaburn does well to turn and get a shot on target

Ball headed on for Leaburn, brings it down but the keeper saves his shot.
  • Why was the Goalkeeper in the way of that Leaburn effort... What a bastard!!

Not really his style but I think Jones needs to be calm with them at half time. Saturday was a bizarre disaster and it's clearly hanging over this team still. Something like this always happens, a team carries momentum up to the new division and then something happens, be it injuries, a key player leaving, a falling out etc or if you're lucky just the season ending, and then things revert back to the mean. The reality is that we've got a side out where there's no recognised left back, we have a centre half who just isn't really cut out for this level, and the striker we brought in to press and harry is out which means a style change in attack. The Saints game came at the worst possible time and now there's a hangover when we play another former Jones team who are in their best form in years and years. This second half has to be about the players losing the jitters. Jones, Gillesphey and Ramsay need to stop looking terrified any time the ball gets near them because that's clearly passed on to the keeper as well. We need to pull back on the high press because Coventry is getting overrun on the counter and just slow down and try and build something up. If we can get through this playing with a bit of calm and dignity and try and get Bell back for next game then I think we'll be ok, but if these players come back out as shellshocked as they ended the half then it'll be a long, long night and I'll fear for Saturday.
Being generous. These game and Saturdays coming up, highlight the lack of quality in the squad. They most definitely have been punching above their weight.

zackly , we've had a lot of the rub of the green now it's evening itself up ... hustle and bustle running around can get you so far ... then the reality sets in ..
21st will be a result for us

What's frustrating is Sorba Thomas should have been ours.
You know how it works though, he wouldn’t have worked out with us
Oh if we'd signed him he'd be playing National League again by now after scoring 1 goal or something.

Swansea, losing 2-0 at home to Derby, are thrashing us in the race to the relegation zone. That will make it 5 points from their last 9 games.

Stoke passing it about in midfield eventually down our right but we clear the cross.
  • Have we thought about crossing the ball, instead of shooting?

James Bree being dragged all over the place. Not really his fault as the midfield just getting completely run through.

Looked like a league 1 team for 3/4 games now
Look at the line up, they are a league 1 team, 5 of our summer signings are on the bench ?

If we can keep this to 5 I'd take it -

We've given up all our GD gains in 2 games and Coventry will destroy us for another 5 -

Not the end of the world due to our start - but make no bones about it we are in a relegation fight.

As soon as our our first 11 is injured and we do not get the rub of the green we are very vulnerable in deed.

Good learnings available from these massive loses - and I fully back the board and NJ to work out what is necessary but this is a reality check - all the other clubs will and can smell blood.

We need a draw in any game as quickly as possible to stop the rot.

I feel the like the real work has just started for us.

I think we all keep forgetting that Stoke City’s squad is worth twice that of charlton. and that being the case what did we expect. We’ve had a good start to the season; punched above our weight but when you’ve got injuries and the best you can put on an attack is Miles Leaburn then we will struggle against the top sides

Corner headed clear by Jones near post, they come back again, but the shot from just outside the box is wide.

Think I'll give it a miss
That's what i hoped 'mute thread' was going to do when the website underwent its top quality renovation. I mean 'mute poster' always sounded like a technical challenge but a real 'mute thread' would be occasionally helpful

Went back to work after 4 minutes, just came back and 3-0. Might go back to work again.  So goals per minute number went down spectacularly.  From 1 every 2 minutes to 1 every 15.  Brightside.  Downside, worse than Saturday which was 1 every 18 minutes. Have to hang on to 55 minutes for comparative improvement.

Leaburn buys a foul from a CB who gets booked, really good from Miles

Stoke down our right, cross into the box, they try to be too intricate and Carey nips in to retrieve, and we get a free kick for Leaburn being pulled back in the centre circle.

How is that a yellow haha. He’s pelted it at him from 5 yards away.

Anyone blaming Kaminski for the first one needs to take a look at themselves. He had no chance. Yes the 3rd was a mistake but Ramsey really didn’t help him with the absolutely ridiculous jump across his line of sight.

The midfield is the biggest issue for me. The lack of athleticism there is starting to hurt us. We are crying out for some energy in there and Anderson is still sitting on the bench.

At some point Jones has to accept that Campbell has not stepped up to this level. He is going through huge periods in each game he plays where is totally anonymous and is offering nothing.

Another gripe is Lloyd Jones. We can all see he isn’t fit, why are we continuing to patch him up and push him out there? We could loose him long term and TBH he is struggling at the moment.
