Not at this stage but when you've spent almost £250m on two players that have made zero impact then, inevitably, questions will be asked. Wirtz has struggled with the Pl and Isak hasn't recovered from the affects of going on strike and injury. Two new full backs and Salah being a shadow of his former self hasn't helped either.Gravesend_Addick said:At what point is Slot's job in danger at Liverpool?0 -
It's more than a blip for Slot's Liverpool. The summer transfer business looked brilliant on paper, but hasn't worked out, while the player they really needed, Guehi, they didn't get.
A massive result for Sean Dyche, who's had a great start at Forest.2 -
What a crazy eight minutes at St. James' Park0

Not as crazy as those 8 minutes at the valley todayForeverAddickted said:What a crazy eight minutes at St. James' Park3 -
City and Liverpool losing on the same day.
That makes the north London derby tomorrow even bigger.1 -
Not sure what Tottenham were even attempting to do this game.0
-
I know it doesn't matter too much because Spurs have been played off the park here but the inconsistency with officiating in the PL is once again a complete joke.
How has that Eze goal been allowed to stand when there were 2 Arsenal players offside and in the keepers line of sight?

Arsenal have been miles better though, and at this point i'd be surprised if they don't comfortably win the league by at least 10 points. This is a very different side to the ones that have crumbled under pressure in recent years.0

I dunno, I still think City will win it.Chris_from_Sidcup said:Arsenal have been miles better though, and at this point i'd be surprised if they don't comfortably win the league by at least 10 points. This is a very different side to the ones that have crumbled under pressure in recent years.

That’s brilliant from Richarlison to be fair.
Edit: Ha! I wasn’t trying to one-up you @ForeverAddickted - I didn’t see your post when I wrote mine! 😂1 -
Really enjoying this North London Derby and Arsenal were excellent for 50 minutes with their 3-0 lead.
Spurs finally woke up to the challenge and one good tackle and Richarlison remembering he is Brazilian and only the second goal Arsenal have conceded in League matches at home.
After the fire drill there was no Spurs fans to cheer for the goal !
Arsenal are still getting close to a 4rd but Spurs have started passing to players with the same white shirts.
Ok 4-1 and Eze who lived down the road from me scores a Hat trick.

Eze having the game of his life here.0

Eze nearly scoring his 4th.0

Watching this game reminds me of American arsenal are the announcers the fake tifos and light shows etc I hate all of it
and as for the north London forever song very cringy even more cringe that grown men wearing shirts and scarves are belting it out.0 -
As soon as he said that in his presser, he was guaranteed to score.SELR_addicks said:

Not for me as I've got the right raving fucking hump. If Frank thinks setting up for attempting to sneak a result on a set piece is acceptable at Spurs, especially against them of all teams, then he needs to have a word with himself.
Worst performance there I can remember in a very long time. Pathetics.0 -

Based on what? They're too inconsistent and they struggle away from home. The great Pep sides used to only lose 3-4 games a season, they've already lost 4 out of 12.se9addick said:

Arsenal are strong defensively which naturally makes them very hard to beat and i'd be surprised if they lose more than 4 league games all season. The only game they've lost so far was down to a wonder free kick.0 -

I went down to paint the Mural (between Chemist and Art shop) of Eberechi Eze in my local Village red as the Palace shirt was so last season but it had disappeared as a boy with a poppy was in its place. All's well that ends well.
Eze said he prayed 🙏🏻 for a hat trick today !
Well at least we know who was the divine VAR as 3 Arsenal players were in an off side position and impeded the view of the keeper.0 -
We've lost an awful lot of games against Arsenal at Highbury and the Cameldome over the years but I don't think there's every been a NLD that has given me the f*cking hump like yesterday has.
Don't get me wrong, I wasn't expecting anything from yesterday, would have snatched your hand off for a draw before the start because they are one hell of a side now (even with half their team out injured!) but for the love of god, the absolute bare minimum you would expect from any team, especially against your fiercest rivals, is 100% commitment, effort and energy. Run yourselves into the ground.
I braved watching the highlights back this morning. The amount of time Merino had to assist for Trossard for the first was shocking. He seemed to have 4-5 second with the ball at his feet and literally just had to pick his pass. Thats unacceptable. Same for Eze's second goal just after half time. Ball broke to him in acres of space on the edge of the box. Unacceptable.
The gulf between the two sides now has never been greater in my opinion. Even when they last won the league and we had a shocking side, we were competitive and put up a fight.
Anyway, done now. It's going to take a very long time to get over that yesterday, lets be honest, it could have been 7 or 8, they were that dominant.
Good job we haven't got PSG away in Paris on Weds night... oh wait a minute!1
