I spent 15 years working there and they are an odd lot.0 -
I used to work with guy from Addington in the late 80's. He was constantly telling everyone he lived in Addington Village, (not a bad place but tainted by the closeness of that place over the roundabout), nothing to do with New Addo. He loved to wind people especially me supporting Charlton and him being an armchair Nigel, like now they are better than us in most ways but ask him about where he lived in New Addington would make him bite every time.1

Had a mate who lived just off King Henry Drive, and worked in Vulcan Way.
His Dad was doing 15 yrs for a Post Office robbery armed with a shotgun, His Mum had an ankle tag after causing an affray. His sister had 18 months suspended for credit card fraud.
He was a great lad and good company, and could tell a tale or two, But I lost contact after he got some time for trying to sell copper cable with BT stamped all over it.3
