Surpassed by the 7.23. Overcrowded, full of Fulham, fractious, sat on the floor and held for 40 minutes at Bletchley because one prat set the smoke alarm off and other prats decided to play with the emergency alarms as if they were toys.blackpool72 said:Anyone else on the 6 .32 Avanti train from crewe to Euston.
Fucking worst train ever0 -
Watching the replay of the handball it's just so incredibly daft - almost a Sodje moment....0

He looks crowded there, must of been panicked by the heavy press!Talal said:

I suppose we all have a brain fart moment.1 -
Made me think of when Rufus did similar, though he was well in credit.soapy_jones said:

Only person who knows if that was 100% handball was Onel, will he admit it or not...😉0

Just had I saidNo, the fourth official cannot make a handball decision. While the fourth official's role includes advising the referee on incidents like handball, especially if the referee couldn't see it clearly, the referee is the only person who can make the final decision
so basically the ref or linesman did not see it so it should not have been given3 -
Literally says there that the fourth official can advise on handball. Ref blew his whistle so made the decision.RonnieMoore said:Just had I saidNo, the fourth official cannot make a handball decision. On the sky coverage, they were all over it being a handball the moment it happened.2

Moment of madness. Schoolkids don't jump for a header like that.

Ref looking right at it from that angle. Can only assume the delay was him asking for confirmation from the assistants2

Just 1 game too many for us I think, injuries racking up and those who did play looked shattered or carrying a knock.4

With a bit of time to reflect and try not to post in frustration... Time to hearken back to a bit of Curbishley wisdom about wins, losses, highs and lows.
This result doesn't mean we suddenly became a terrible team, any more than the 3-0 at Ipswich suddenly made us league winning material.
This was an uncharacteristically poor performance, the injuries didn't help but its fair to say we've probably been due a stinker. It happens to everyone eventually.
Hopefully the break means a chance to recoup, recover and for the Welsh wizard to work his magic and get things back on track.7 -
Hernandez should he have gotten booked for deliberate handball? Then with the exchange with the 12 year old Lino who gave Wrexham the throw instead of the correct call, throw to us. We might have gone down to 10 men for the final few minutes1

Ref and Dobbo, both took no notice, I mean, can you imagine Dobbo staying shtum if he saw it as handball, so what the 4th official saw is debatable...wouldn't trust the ref as far as I could throw him...fenaddick said:Ref looking right at it from that angle. Completely and utterly braindead. Second time this season a totally avoidable brain fart by a defender has coat us points._uptheaddicks said:Moment of madness. Schoolkids don't jump for a header like that.

Ref not signalling immediately doesn’t mean he took no notice, just that he took a second to decideeastterrace6168 said:

If Nathan Jones is not over stating are injury and illness problems with the squad
Why did we not ask to have the game postponed. Would it not be better
too play the game am other day. Six players out sounds enough to ask for a postponement.8 -
General question to posters.
Who are our bogey teams?
Spanners obviously.
Wrexham I contend.
Anyone else?0 -

Fair enough, you saw it your way I saw it another, healthy debate, but either he saw a clear handball = penalty or he wasn't sure = no pen...that's all I am saying.fenaddick said:

Lets be realistic, we weren't great on Tuesday, and we weren't great yesterday. On the Charlton TV commentary yesterday, Brownie noted that our performance levels had dropped off slightly, which is a perfectly fair observation, as you can't play brilliantly in every game, especially with the grind of the Championship taking its toll physically.
That could easily have been two nil nil draws. Instead we won one and lost one, which is actually better as it's 3 points instead of 2.
Who knows, that extra point could be crucial come the end of the season. I always think back to 2019/20 when in consecutive games
1) We conceded a last minute equaliser to Hull in added time
2) We scored a last minute equaliser against QPR in added time
So 2 points, whereas if we had held on against Hull, and lost against QPR we would have got 3 points from those two games. That 1 extra point would have kept us up.17 -
Linesman was an absolute disgrace1

Much better closeup of the Hernandez handball, I dont think there's any doubt....

Apparently he’s getting abuse on SM

Despise Wrexham, absolute shit hole full of Welsh mugs.Hernandez is a bell end for that, thick as shit.
We need to try get 4 points from the next three otherwise I can see a slide coming on.5 -
I'm glad I heard a whisper about the fix being in just before the game started - have just paid off my mortgage now!12

Seriously though, I never understand why people can never just accept it when we lose a game of football.
That said, match fixing theories is a new one so well done to whoever dreamt that up. Usually it's just the ref/lino were shite, which have clearly also had an outing, but this new theory is a corker.
And despite clear photographic and video evidence to the contrary some people are still claiming the ball never hit his hand. I mean, seriously?!
Just enjoy your Sunday. We lost a tightly fought match with a depleted team who gave it their all but are clearly running on empty. And don't forget that same team snatched 3 points from the jaws of a draw on Tuesday. So football has a way of evening itself up, as the old cliche goes.
We've got 2 weeks off now to recharge the batteries and get some of the walking wounded back. I think some people need to use that time to give their brains a good rest and a recharge too!

Match fixing is an absolute whopper, even for our standards.1
