Leicester away being 12:30 is annoying. An early start for that game.

When was the last regular game we played on a Friday evening?

Only one that comes to mind is the Millwall lockdown game. Don't get a lot of League One games on the Friday night slot

Any home game at 12:30 is poor as far as I'm concerned - it means I have to leave the house about 7am to travel down and be at Charlton early enough to get parked.  :(

You’d think if you scored 12 at home, you’d win, but letting in 30 is dreadful defending.

    Hmmm.....difficult decision.

Millwall away now on TV.  Do I stay at home and watch it or risk life & limb over at the Rusty Toolbox and be held back afterwards.

Clincher might be that the last time we won there in the snow I didnt go. Been all other times though....🤔🙄.

Is the Derby game on the Tuesday or on the 21st? It can't be both...

Wednesday 21st. All midweek championship are split into Tuesday/Wednesday games.
  • QPR at home on a Friday night is nice - like that!

According to Derby's website, although they now have a game scheduled for Friday 23rd, so don't be surprised if we play them on Tuesday 20th

If there has to be games played on Friday evening, a non aggro London local derby is a sensible choice.

It was originally on Wednesday 21st January, meant to be our only Wednesday fixture this season. However, since their fixture against West Brom is now on Friday evening it’s been moved back to the Tuesday.

Friday night will be great as there are no trains that weekend between Gravesend and Crayford/Barnhurst/Slade Green.  Unfortunately Stoke 2 weeks later is the first of 9 days with no trains over the same routes so probably a no-go for me.  Perhaps the club could ask Sky to move it to the Friday.

Only 5 more Saturday 3pm away games for the rest of the season at most. In fact 4 after Wrexham tomorrow.

If not announced by 7th November, then according to this, stays as planned

    • By 7 November 2025, selections shall be announced in respect of all matches to be played between the end of the third round proper of the FA Cup and the last weekend of February.

    A true 3 game week:

Friday, December 26th: Norwich City (a) - KO 3pm GMT

    Monday, December 29th: Portsmouth (a) - KO 7.45pm GMT

Thursday, January 1st: Coventry City (h) - KO 3pm GMT

Because a week does in fact consist of 7, not 8 days as everyone on CL seems to think nowadays.

It's not a CL thing though, is it? For as long as I can remember managers, players, and fans, have talked about Saturday to Saturday being a week of football. For example, win Sat-Tues-Sat and you've picked up 9 points this week.

I can’t tell if this is a whoosh or not, but it is a week. Saturday at 5pm to the next Saturday 5pm is exactly a week. 7 days. It’s not 8 days.

But unless the first Saturday KO is 3pm+ and the next Saturday is 12:30, then its not technically in a week, its a week + a few hours (depending when the Chartlon game ends, which, as we know, might be 17:15).

It is high level pedantry, but it is more than a week whatever way you want to cut it.  However, we do all know what it means, even if it is technically incorrect.
