    Cracking TV - preferred it to the standard version as that charity aspect (and them all getting paid anyway) meant most of them just treated it like a fun few days and a game rather than life and death.

    Agree the Celeb Traitors was the best one, although i have watched the others and they are just as good on their own merit. Crazy finale, no spoilers as still early but amazing how bad they were at getting it right this season. 

    Now i suppose Celebs around the world will be my next fix, i do enjoy that show and just generally seeing different places and how people cope on a limited budget getting from A to B, another good one to watch. Just seen the line up, i dont really know any bar Roman Kemp, but still i don't watch for the celeb factor so i'm sure it will be good, although Kelly Brook being in the last one did help.

    The game is just such a great concept. Tension all the way through and always does go right down to the wire.
    It brings inklings of many other TV games together. Like the Apprentice for example or Golden balls with Jasper Carrot (who remembers that!!)
    That said, the editing and mood music do enhance the levels massively.

    Traitors was compelling viewing. Race Across The World has started well, even if you don’t know the people in it it’s worth watching for the scenery etc.

    exactly that, i watch it for the exploring / seeing different countries. I've not started it yet, but gives me the weekly fix of something

    Interestingly (to me anyway) is that I find Survivor to be the most similar in terms of tense moments, the tense votes, people getting a shock when they get voted off etc.

    Main difference is that the alliances, everyone having the same chances etc rather than the Traitors having an advantage.

    But whereas the US & Aussie series are great and successful, it's never been quite right/never taken off over here.

    That series was decent tbf!  Just badly marketed etc.

    The other two weren't great, and Joel Dommett was a terrible choice of host.

    OK - so Pluribus might just be the best first episode of anything I've ever watched.

    One thing with Celebrity Traitors that made it more interesting was the quality of “celebrity”. 
    The fact is that the celebrities were actually famous people!
    I think there was one YouTuber in the whole cast and not a single person ‘famous’ for being on some trashy reality bollocks.
    We all have our preconceptions of people like Stephen Fry, Celia Imrie or Alan Carr for example, but the approach and gameplay of pretty much all of them was sometimes surprising, but always fascinating to watch and hugely entertaining.

    Excellent stuff.
    I’m happy to watch the general public play too, as they’re genuine unknowns, but this celebrity series highlights how much of a difference it makes having genuinely talented and entertaining people involved, rather than 15 minuters selling their dignity for the sake of their instagram.

    Watched the first three of Down Cemetery Road really enjoyed it has a slow horses vibe to it

    Even the non-celebrity one has a reasonably diverse cast of different ages, occupations etc rather than a load of the same "22-year-old attractive wannabe influencer" types, and it's much the better for it.

    Uaed to watch Coach Trip years back and the first few series were good because there was a retired guy who hated the foreign food, a couple of middle aged sisters who got pissed off with the youngsters having a few drinks and making noise etc.  Then it became Love Island on a coach and was crap.

    Diverse ages, personalities etc are much more interesting.

    Done the first 2 episodes of Plur1bus 

    I'm very much in the @Leroy Ambrose tent and would watch Rhea Seahorn read the phone book. I'd like to watch her do other things but thats too grim for this space.

    Its interesting, I've embraced it for what it is and I want to see where it goes. You can tell in the way its shot as well as some of the locations used it has a flavour of breaking bad and better call Saul

    Yeah I quite like it, the main character doing the running around as an amateur detective annoyed me at first but she’s taken a step back now.

    Also, the airline Rhea Seahorn's character flies on in episode 2 was Wayfarer airlines, the same airline used in breaking bad where the plans collided due to air traffic control distraction (in a round about way caused by Walter).

    WIll be interestng to note any other crossovers, but loving how it is shot and it's dark humour already. 

    It does suggest the events of both stories happened in the same 'universe', I just wonder how far apart from each other.

    Yeah - it's deliberately set in New Mexico - originally it was a southern California location in the scripts, but Gilligan loves NM, and gets much better rates for fiming there than he would in California. Personally I think it makes a big difference - that desert setting adds so much to everything he does.

    Don't know how long it has been on I Player but have rewatched the 1978 G F Newman's Law & Order series. Deals with corruption in the police and legal system. Really 'enjoyed' (not quite the word perhaps) it.
