49 Years Ago This Week. Who was there?

Anyone attend and remember these legends scoring that night?

I was, sure the club had fireworks on the south terrace before the match.

I was there and the only thing I remember were the fireworks going off.
Although tbh I thought they were outside not inside The Valley.
  • I can put a face to the names of the majority of those goalscorers. Can't quite recall the Fulham scorer though.

It seems strange seeing George Best scoring for Fulham.

He played in the game at The Valley, Killer scored a hat trick in a 3-2 win.

I remember that game well, late winner from Killer.
    Bobby Moore skippered Fulham.

Yes, I was there and there were fireworks on the old South Terrace.

The next day I went to the Fulham match with two Cardiff supporting schoolmates. I was well impressed with the Cardiff support that day. 17 coaches counted on the way back to the station.

The first evening game I went to by myself.
I remember my dad couldn't go because he was caring for my nan who had breast cancer.

  • I was there,loved Killer.
  • Yep, I was there.
Not so sure the game would have stuck in my memory quite as well if it was not for the fireworks tho.

  • I’m sure I was there, I didn’t miss a home game from 1972 until 1981, but I remember nothing of the game.  It was just another game.
