Kai Enslin had a great eye catching half.
Seeing as how it's Halloween and all that the second half looks well set for our Ghost Goalscorer Casey if they bring him on.
Reid has also played well, Rylah yet to let rip as he sometimes can.
You’re on the wrong thread @jose

Three parties have given the administrators of Sheffield Wednesday proof of £50m funds to take over the Championship club.
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c751q2drz1qo
From the article, quote from administrator

"Then hopefully a deal can be concluded this calendar year, so that the new owner is in for the January transfer window, if the EFL allows the new owner to buy players."

Thought the fee restriction was going to be in place for 3 windows (summer 25, Jan 26, Summer 26)?  If they can go out and 'buy' players, then it makes a mockery of the embargo process and would encourage more to go into admin for a 'clean slate'.
Watch the EFL cave. No backbone.

I agree with FA , I can't see there not being a whole host of dodgy dealings in the books left by Chansiri. It's fine to provide the proof of funds but I imagine it's a whole other deal to try and untangle the mess.

That's too funny. Nixon hates getting called out for being in the pockets of certain owners. Was convinced for a while he was getting fed stories directly by Sandgaard when he owned us too.

    Wait. Hold on.
Was Nixon getting fed stories or pies?

I read today that they have  asked the EFL for special dispensation to  engage free agents as they are having to use youth players to cover injuries.

As far as I was aware they could sign free agents but were limited to paying a max of 8k PW unless that has changed now they are in admin.
  • This Nixon stuff on Twitter is gold. The pie account is running rings around him.

Apparently they have to get EFL permission to sign free agents apart from all the other restrictions.

Assume it’s similar to when we were signing Washington and Gilbey (shudder)

Was he that bad for us ?

    Yes.

    How long did he last?

Besides, I thought he was involved heavily with the MD of the Mount Pleasant FA.

He's been hammered so much he's now had to protect his tweets and has been made to look a complete fool over this. I saw one post where he threatened to publicly expose the pie accounts DM's apologising to him and then when he eventually posted the DM's it turned out he'd been messaging a fake account where someone had changed a letter 'i' to a 'I'. Absolute clown.

The irony is hardly anyone saw the original tweet (which was 6 weeks ago), so by threatening libel action against a comedy pie account all he's done is just make it known to a far wider audience.

He came over terribly on the Sunderland documentary and it may be coincidence but both them and us were not damaged too much by him. Maybe it was luck, but you could argue the opposite very easily.

And what did he did with us that was so bad ? I’m just interested. Perhaps I completely missed it ?

And that was his fault ? Come on. The club was rotten to the core when he/they took over . It takes more than a few months to sort that out and thankfully they did and pretty quickly when you think about it.
He/They arrived in July 2023 and by the time he left we were planning to go to Wembley in 2025 .

The way I saw it, and I could be very wrong here.
The owners came over in January and had seen enough so started to get more involved.
If Methven was any good he'd still be with us.

I never said he was any good. My question was he THAT bad ? I can think of several people who got involved with the club in the last ten years that make Methvan look like a genius.

Of course if you are to compare him to the likes of peanut head then he was fantastic.
However, I can only say that he'd still be in a job if the owners thought he was upto it.
I wonder how much longer he'll be with Mount Pleasant IF he ends up with Wednesday.  He does not tend to stick around long in positions.

Personally if he gets involved in Sheff Wed I hope he crashes and burns but I’m just puzzled as to what did wrong at Charlton . Wasn’t he involved in bringing in the investors we have now ?
I know he looked a twat on Sunderland til I die and he dresses like a posh 7 year old going to a kids party but I’ve still not heard anything that he did at Charlton that makes him that bad ?
