    Ms AA’s allotment partner filmed the new John Lewis advert so we just watched it.

    Depends upon where you come at it form i suppose. It could be written for me.

    Yeah as someone that's lost their dad that definitely made me shed a tear. Don't think it's one of their best though. The Boxer dog and the Dragon ones from a few years back are way better.

    Yeah I liked it too, and I'm quite cynical on the whole 'John Lewis advert as an event' thing - not sure how Christmassy it feels but as a Dad of teenage/close to teenager kids who misses them being tiny kids, it hit home.

    Not one to tear up at TV, especially ads, but as a dad of young kids that got me. 

    My wife came in the room to ask what it was about and I could barely speak 😆
